Quick Look: LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

Well then, I don't know what to write here.

For some unknown reason, I rally want this game, haven't played a lego game since the first star wars stuff on PSP and they never really clicked, but this looks awesome, if the quick looks well I might pick it up.

Brad totally not realizing that the pale transparent blue lego studs are a GPS/Breadcrumb trail... Brad's streak of being completely unobservant continues unabated.

been putting a few hours into this one, best lego game yet. Flying around as superman is a blast.

As much as I really got tired of the LEGO game, I really want to jump into this one.

This was annoying to watch... Quick Look of an awesome game, by an awesome website. But seriously Brad and Ryan, shame on you for getting stuck by that green goo! But you're awesome nonetheless :)

The pause menu says "return to batcave".

@Ryan if you dont know already. you were supposed to wash the green goo away with water.

There is a Return to Batcave option in the main pause menu.

Taking a second to read or take in what the game is telling you is okay.

I'm calling it... LEGO GTA: San Andreas. Imagine Hot Coffee like you never have before. It's been called.

I wasn't gonna buy this but now I'm gonna buy it.

oh my god, use the water to wash the green slime off the thing you flipped over, holy crap.

This Quick Look is just like every other LEGO Quick Look Giant Bomb's ever done. Amazing.

Oh man, talk about unjustified putdown there by Ryan. User error is not the game's fault.

It wouldn't be a LEGO quick look if they didn't get stuck in a room for 20 minutes.

From previous experiences with lego games the GB crew should have learnt to read the help messages.. but no.

If there is a review they should aslo do a post review quicklook that is a little more informed, but i guess this is how most quick looks go, its just a shame they kindof fail on every lego game.

The whole clueless business is kinda funny though. Hope the next QL today is by Brad/Ryan too, they'll lose their minds with Granpa's.

Funny that the lego games seem to be the ones they get stuck on. Same thing happened to me when I tried to play one.

After watching this, I just wanted to say that you really shouldn't judge this game by the quick look. As much as I love giant bomb, I feel this was really unfair to the product. I'd watch some other videos first.

I want to like the lego games, I really do but some of the puzzles just seem a bit... I don't know but that's a turn off for me. Well that and also the fact that I don't care one bit about any of the franchises they've made into lego games so far (I've never seen Star Wars, nor read/seen Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and know next to nothing about Batman or superheros in general and then LOTR too, never liked that)
 
Hell, I don't think I care about any single franchise from a TV Show/Movie enough to want to play a lego version of it.

Infuriatingly awesome watching them fail at another Lego game. They were right about the camera though, that looks pretty shaky in spots. None the less, this looks like it will satisfy my Lego craving for another few years.

Brad and Ryan doing their best to ruin another quick look of a Lego game? Maybe they ought to let someone else take a crack at these from now on.

My fiance 20 seconds into hearing this video, "Ooh, I want to watch this!"

Twenty minutes later, "Spray the water! YOU JUST HAVE TO SPRAY THE WATER ON THE GOO! COME ON!! Wait...I think he's going to get it...GHHHHHHHHHH!!"

Didn't it specifically mention that Robin could clean away waste? Isn't that the solution?

Their inability to figure out basic stuff or experiment never ceases to amaze.

dude, cut brad some slack. he IS blind.

Well ryan did use water on the green goo and nothing happened because the tiny little step up in front of him blocked the spray, It's hardly all his fault.

I think this game looks great. Too bad they knocked it for "unclear objectives" such as spraying one thing with another thing.

I'm all for talking Legos actually, looks a blast.

Brad himself specifically mentioned it, yet it still didn't occur to either of them to try that.

It is a fantastic game. Shame that this QL could put people off.

I mean. Huge tooltips just ignored.

You can also just warp to the Batcave from the main menu... but this is a Brad quick look.

I thought running around confused was a standard part of the Lego video games experience. You guys are just too good at video games, I guess.

So I gather based on the dual-ring thing they put together in that free play mission after quitting on the goo mission that those things are platforms that generate costumes? So the fact that there was one covered in green toxic goo in the last level... guessing there's an electric suit under there?

edit: Ryan can be excused because he's just following Brad's lead, but Brad has seen probably a dozen or more of those little suit platforms so he knows exactly what he's looking for. For shame, Brad, for shame.
