I should probably see an eye doctor, because the two color settings that Jeff couldn't distinguish, I could not distinguish either.

Yeah, there's about a half-hour more or so, but it's mostly Vinny fumbling around with characters he doesn't know how to play, and as a result, sweeping like a mo-fo. Still very enjoyable.

It's alright, but to really get the full effect you have had to looked at the chat window full of SRK fighting game elitists talking about how terrible they are (of course, forgetting that not everyone can be SUPER HARDCORE PRO about fighting games. Especially people who have other games to play.) Then, you would have had the full experience.

The new move list design is to accommodate players with non-HD TVs, right? The old one allowed them to fit everything onto one nice screen. Seems like a step back.

Hey Giantbomb, this is Inverse_SRK from last night. On behalf of the forum, I'd really like to first, above all say thank you for taking the time to be the first people in the world to bring to us SF fans the news we needed to keep the lifeblood in our community strong.

You took our requests, even if you didn't originally want to, and your eagerness to please the people in your channel really showed a level of LOVE for gamers as a whole. You didn't have to do that, but you proved you're not just the same as every other PR gaming site out there who pretends to be a part of the pulse of this hobby, this lifestyle for the sake of a few bucks.

You guys are true gamers, and as such I have to apologize for some of the people last night who had to insult you just because your skills were considered "subpar". These are not the SRK "Elitists". The SRK elite know that you were just a group of friends, out there to have a good time. The true elite, the players out there trying to get better don't need to see you show off or perform like pros to be entertained. We love this game, to death and seeing you guys play as you did reminded me of a simpler time, when gaming wasn't such serious fucking business.

Where Vega had a cage and we would mash on punch with Blanka because we didn't know how to do any other move! Where our thumbs got sore because we kept trying to do dragon punches on that SNES controller. Where the idea of doing a Flash Kick was nearly impossible. Where we finished the game and celebrated with glee and pride, just to be told to "Try it in a Harder difficulty next time".

SRK is still, right at this moment talking about the moves you did last night. Analyzing it like scientists and trying to see even the smallest detail. Being the first to prove Bloody High Claw hits upward in video form. One of the first in the world to test Bison's Psycho Punisher's distance (such patient application too!), and you gave us the first glimpse of the Rival BGM music for the cast! The first!

Not bad for "subpar" play. Hmph, you've done more for us than some "pros" have up to now. Real talk.

Thank you, for "Proving it Tonight". Perhaps I was a bit dramatic, but I needed you guys to hear me above the roar. You did. None of the true fans, will forget it. I guarantee you, you've made new ones yourselves for this.

Consider me one of them.

I managed to catch the live stream right when Brad started talking about when the Quick Look version would end, so luck me I got to see the whole thing.  Sort of.  Sadly after about ten minutes of watching the live stream I passed out, I had a long day and didn't get enough sleep(clearly).  So I still missed most of the live stream, except the instances where I woke up for a second and rolled over.

Man... I never realized how slow the fullscreen mode was until I saw something as fast and fluid as SF4. I gotta watch it at regular size to make it look smooth.

I'd say that execution wise they were ok, they just jumped around like fools for the most part.

@NickL:  Recording a 3 hour stream in HD takes up a lot of space, evidence of this is Blu- Ray movies, also it would take forever to render the uncompressed video in a reasonable amount of time. They also said it ahead of time when they were going to stream and it is either you can watch or you miss it. You can still watch the ustream archive.

I always thought they would be batter at this game then they are after how much mess they talked about shitty players when SFIV first came out. I'm not trying to be some high and mighty douche bag shoryuken dude, but I find it kinda funny that they invested in arcade sticks when there was clearly no point lol.

I only caught like 5 minutes of the live stream yesterday, so you guys are EXTRA awesome for putting all of it up on the site.  I've yet to watch it but I probably won't have much to comment on because I'm not that good at fighting games, although I love fighting games.  For that reason I'm commenting before I fire up the video to say thank you giantbomb.  You truly are covering the games that really matter.  As a side note if anyone's putting negative comments on this guaranteed awesomeness, DOOMONYOU!

This was pretty awesome. I never played the new SF game. I feel my time with these games has passed. I dont know, i really just used to love the old days when i skipped school or something to go to the mall and take bets on a street fighter match (ya, it happened back in the day and it was often fun- although the money was usually spent on more matches so in the end it wasnt rlly about the money, anyway. Other then... making more money to play street fighter I guess).

Anyway, it gave me a look at what the new one will be like which was pretty cool.

As for the "elitists" in the live chat; i didnt get to see this one as I was at work, but theres generally some form of bullying or childishness in the chat when they do live stuff. Shame it cant be moderated better, but so is life- I just watch em full screen so I dont pay attention to it.

Also, no its not a punishment that they shortened it. The fact that they put up an hour and a half is a testament to how great this site is. That takes up bandwidth and stroage space so any amount they want to show is awesome and I'm all for it. My only complaint is that they used alot of the same characters. Then again they know more about what the people that will buy this game are looking for, and in that they did a good job I would think.

I have a question for those who know about fighting games well, I haven't played one in a long while and the last one was Soul Calibur, I really liked the looks of SF4 and now this, so for someone who is pretty much new to it but wants to play a fighting game should I get SSF4?
