A character action game.

As opposed to an action game with no characters.

@alibson: It's GB shorthand for God of War/Devil May Cry-style action. 3rd-person, mostly melee fighting, heavy on spiffy animation, etc.

I'd call it competent.

Being that guy: they ran right past the cart like twice, there were rails leading to the pistons and the rails had arrows on them.

Leaves me wondering how many times I've called a game out on not being obvious enough when I miss something blatant.

Is it really that hard to understand what's going on on the screen?

That looked pretty all right, in a dumb way. Going on my wish list.

For a 15$ game, it's pretty competent. It's funny, stupid and remarkably good looking. At least, for a downloadable title. Games like these would have been sold for 60$ as a brand new release back in 06'.

This game is alright. It's self aware and dumb, but there's a pretty enjoyable video game in the middle of it all.

Think of it as less SyFy original movie, more USA Network original series.

Looks like Dante's Inferno on a budget... Which is the biggest insult I can think for a game right now.

Bandicoot of War

This looks alright. I've heard some other people say it is an okay way to spend a few hours.

Vinny was correct the first time, the voice of the villain was definitely James Hong, of "Big Trouble in Little China" fame (also like a million other things).

At first I thought that was going to be Michael Jai White, then I realized it wasn't and was sad. I was on board with this being a blacksploitation type thing. Now I'm going to pretend that this is an adventure starring the brother of Jackson Briggs as he battles against Shang Tsung who is posed as and evil tycoon of sorts.

Everything looks really pretty but also seems lifeless.

This game looks totally playable

Bonus points for taking place on the set of Legends of the Hidden Temple

Yup. And the mask's quips make me think that it's not really taking itself seriously either - the game knows exactly how dumb it is and I'm into that.

Let's just mass-produce the helicopters guys.

The hilarity potential of this QL was undermined by the unexpected competence of the game. Well, I'll just go rewatch Garshasp.

That man has HANDS.

This game is in a weird place. It's clearly got the budget and production values of a C-tier title from like 2010, but it's also using a lot of the technical and visual improvements made this gen to look less bad than it is.

Even if the combat mechanics are okay, though, something about the camera movement is really bothering me. It's obviously fixed, but it jerks around so fast that it also looks really loose and uncontrolled. Don't think I'd be able to play this even if I wanted to.

...At least it's just $15

The more I saw this, the more I liked it. I would not buy it, but I can see some kid having a decent time with it. Cost value is very good. As for the lead character, they explicitly saved their humor for something different than the good ole blaxploition route. Have to go to adult swim for that if it is still happening(haven't been there much)

Really, though, this looks weirdly fun and solid. I'm surprised; I was expecting something more akin to Garshasp.

Haha, this game seems okay. I especially like the gargantuan land battleship dredger machine. That thing seemed like it could be a Sonic the Hedgehog level or something.

Kinda skeptic about this until they mentioned the price, but for $15 this seems decent enough.
Especially considering that we can always do with a couple of more "Character action games" on PC.

LOVED this quicklook, had great witty banter and had me chuckling throughout. @vinny and @jeff are such a force together.

When I saw this on Steam I was expecting another Ride to Hell, but this looks like a functional, budget character action title. Looks nice and looks like it plays fine. Story seems like a budget story.
