NHL 13 is the 21st installment in the NHL franchise by EA SPORTS.

My favorite part of any hockey game is always the ability to fight.

If Vinny and Jeff don't do every Quicklook from now on I'm leaving this site.

I have ALWAYS loved the NHL series. Turn down penalties, and just run around check dudes and start fights. And of course you don't see hockey stuff down there, you don't even see ice unless it's in your freezer

At this point, we have to call the Vinny and Jeff duo the Sport Club. From the fine maker of Flight Club.

if only-they should have done strike shortened season in the last nba game and have scab ref setting in madden 13-treat the sports fan like crap cause they'll never stop loving you

Man, the NHL Legends team's roster is pathetic. Weber/Suter on first D pair? Laughable.

Just noticed the majority of the roster shouldn't be on there. It's more like some of the top(Kurri/Gretzky/Lemieux) and a bunch of decent current players..

I love how naturally this quick look evolved from 'Oh, hey a hockey game' to 'How do we get our dudes to fight.'

As a fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets, I'm so proud that Vinny thinks it's a fake team. Most of the NHL does as well...

I love when Vinny and Jeff do sport game quick looks. I hope they do a Fifa 13 quick look, that game seems like something special from the demo. Can't wait to see Jeff and Vinny's lack of knowledge of soccer during it

At least the number rating system for the teams in past games made more sense than just stars here. Jeff brings up a great point about the all star team should be 5 star rating in this game or any game. One feature that's often missing from hockey video games that should be in there is the mascot team (from the college football games), just seems to me that a bunch of the crazier fights seen in real life hockey games would be excessively funnier if it's a bunch of mascots fighting it out. Game looks quite good for a hockey video game (one of the few sports I watch) though now I prefer to watch hockey in the stadium or on tv & save my time for playing video games with other style of games.

OMG it is still the same commentator tracks I've been hearing since at least 08. I wish they updated that more often than once in a decade.

I don't give a shit about football or icehockey but whenever I see a sports QL on giantbomb I know it's gonna be awesome. This is part of why I love this site.

That was pretty outstanding. During the lockout I'll play this on repeat intermixed with Don Cherry's Rock'em Sock'em Hockey.

Not quite as good as the Madden or NCAA Quick Looks but I still really enjoyed it. I will echo what others have said. @Jeff and @Vinny need to do a Quick Look of Fifa.

FYI: The Hartford Whalers became the Carolina Hurricanes. So in the future, why not support the classic Whalers and Brad's home state team by going with the 'Canes.
