Maybe the straight-up port job is a test by Capcom to see if a full-fledged Ace Attorney game would fly on the Wii, if it sells? 
 
I'd love a console Ace Attorney. Hell, remake this first game for XBLA or PSN a la Secret of Monkey Island and I'll bite.

Capcom always said these would be basic ports of the DS games, these are meant for Wii owners who don't own a DS.

the second one was the worst one in the series it served its purpose for people that were jonesing for more phoenix wright though, but the third one is the best in the series, i mean who doesnt love godot?

Are there 2 people at the giant bomb office who have never played any of these games? The phoenix wright series would be a great endurance run actually, the 2 guys arguing over what they should present and what to object too and all that.
But it only works if there are atleast 2 people who'd never played the games before.

I agree with Ryan, it would be great to see a made for console version of Ace Attorney with higher-res art and maybe a little more flair in presentation. Maybe some voice acting and wii-specific investigation modes.

I've never played the series before but it looks interesting. It starts off very slow but once the case picks up it looks fun.
