Quick Look: Phoenix Wright Wii

Great, finally, a DS quick look! Wait a second...

Phoenix Wright is one of those games that definitely deserves a full dedicated console release. Maybe as a budget title since it'll probably be harder to sell to the mainstream, but the story and characters in these games are great, and the cases are always interesting.

First QL I just couldn't watch all the way through.  Anyone else find these types of  games to be bloody boring?

Wow, it's 9 years old?! I haven't been following the series, but I thought it was a fairly recent franchise...
 
I also didn't think Max Payne would abandon his violent ways to become a lawyer in Japan.

I'd say endurance run, but it won't last that long with this game.

fun fact: attorneys don't say "objection" during a witnesses testimony but during the opposing sides examination so that the other attorney can't get the witness stuck in an unrepairable guilty situation, so technically during the video the other attorney should be saying objection and Phoenix should just be asking questions normally.

Also the clock would have gone straight from the scene to an evidence locker and damn well would still be 3 hours slow/fast during the trial. The mere idea of the clock being changed between the murder and the trial would be tampering with evidence, which is bad.

They left out the case with the Police Chief? That's a bleeding crime, that case was so crazy and interesting. I wish I still had my DS so I could play this again.

What a lazy port job. I feel vindicated in being against it being brought to the Wii. Still, the source material is fantastic.

Why the hell didn't they port the PC version?

I always choose cinder block. It's a shame the wii version is a fairly lazy port, and is stripped of content. Though I guess it's a decent choice if you don't have a ds, and you want to witness the beauty of phoenix wright. I've beat these games many times.

Also, I'm not sure if this was mentioned here, but it would be good to point out that this is also getting an iPod Touch/iPhone port.

that was amazingly entertaining, but only because ryan and vinny were playing it.

Very impressive. I had heard of the game but never tried it. I could easier get into this franchise.

Fantastic! This is what I want out of a Quick Look, a good showing of the game and some laughs!

I played all the games in the series (including Apollo Justice) and they are great. Writing is hilarious and nothing beats those moments when a single piece of testimony can make your realize the use of several pieces of evidence several steps before the game even calls on you to use them.  Makes you feel smart :). It's also the only game to make me feel dumber than a sack of potatoes.

I very much dislike Capcom's shitty porting. 
And their awful DLC money stealing schemes.

I still like the first game best. Case 3 is...just a revelation. It's one of the best jaw-dropping moments in plot-driven games EVER.

Phoenix Wright with motion controls. Awesome.

Oh goodness, the man throwing his hair at Phoenix, the whole "or should I say Mr. Done It?" line...why haven't I bought this game when it came out is beyond my understanding. Fantastic quick look, gentlemen.

I love this.

I beat the first 2 games. Then I stopped on the 3rd. Games are fun and cool, but wayyyy too repetitive. They're all basically the same gameplay-wise. You gotta really really like it to play through the whole series. I just got burnt out. But they were fun while they lasted.

I played through the first game, stopped pretty early in the 2nd, but I own the 2nd and 3rd still...
 
This Quick Look really makes me consider going back to em!

I don't know why but I found this to be one of the funniest QL's. I was literally laughing out loud.

Lazy port is lazy.

I loved the first, I stopped at the second because the story just wasn't interesting to me, and most of the new characters suck. Never bothered with the rest.

Fuck Ryan man, Vinny had to say that about Paris Hilton.

The dull colors and bright flashing lights make me feel like i just had a seizure, this game is not for me. 

I only have the second game. Its good, but it gets hard. I'm stuck at the Circus murder case. The problem I have with the game is that it's not always logical. Sometimes I present something and fails because I was suppose to wait and present it a bit later even though I had figured it out a lot earlier and sometimes it's very far fetched.

never played one of these games and always thought id love it, seems awesome!

Watching this video with the border around it reminds me of playing Pokemon on my Super Game Boy. Next time you guys need to pick the theater border. That's my favorite.
 
This game looks fun but I'd be more interested in a Matlock version.
