That's pretty fucked up.

On the one hand, the music and some of the concepts in this game seem fantastic. On the other hand, it strikes me as a game that could get old quick... I dunno.

Asymmetrical multiplayer could be neat in this game though, one side playing the humans and the other playing the wolves.

I had known about this for a while and just thought the GB dudes would not have time for it.

A lot of the coverage of this game seems to overlook this fact... Sang-froid is English. It is derived from French, which gives it the dual meaning in this game, but it is used in English, the same way 'avant-garde' is.

Wish the Quick Look had gone up when this game was on sale!

This is a weird as hell game that also looks kinda great somehow. I doubt I'll be spending my time playing it, but I support the idea of the thing.

I didn't know grandpapa Gabe Newell narrated tutorials.

Also Werewolf movies are harder to do because of the effects/make-up needed to make them look good.

Also also Dog Soldiers is fantastic.

It does and the gameplay is pretty stale because some things are really effective and some things have no use whatsoever to you so you just find yourself using the same methods each day.

Its one of the best indie werewolf movies in a long time.

As a Canadian I feel obligated to play this.

Saw this on steam yesterday, but didn't think much of the trailer. Quicklook showed me it was a lot cooler than I thought, though!

This game is really, really awesome. I bought it a few months ago. It's hard as balls, has werewolves, and a lumberjack.

This game is incredible, I bought it during the sale & yeah, I should have bought it for full price.

I would argue its mechanics are closer to Rainbow Six than tower defense. You spend about two-thirds of the game in the Planning Mode. You see the path & composition of every wave before you start the night, instead of right before it arrives. All of the traps are one-use only, so there's no growing Corridor of Death. The trick is figuring out how to kill the most enemies with the fewest traps and remembering exactly where you need to be and when you need to be there.

It's gloriously mind-melting by the end of the game, when you need to remember your gameplan for 4-6 waves.

Oh, and all of the music in the game is just awesome. It's Canadian folk bands, and most of it is on sale on iTunes. There's a partial list of the songs used here. Music's been uploaded to YouTube here.

Still not enough to convince you to try this game? What if I told you the Devil's in it? And he wears a top hat? And he gets devoured alive halfway through it? Didn't see that coming...

Oh shit. That fear system is a really good idea, especially to offset the problem of designing a game with both melee and long rifle reloads. Looks pretty unconventional.

@patrickklepek Sorry but mummies are the bottom rung of horror antagonists.

The fear mechanic also works on every enemy. Even the Final Boss. There's an achievement for making him hesitate 5 seconds before attacking you.

Seriously? When did the Giant Bomb audience become this sensitive? No one would have batted an eye if it was Ryan who said it.
