Quick Look: Shank

We have heard that the fighting game was dead, Street Fighter  came out.
 
We have repeatedly heard that the beat'em was dead, and yet, here we find the GB not sounding displeased with Shank...

I remember reading about this when PAX was going on last year and thinking it looks really well developed.  There was another game that caught my eye during that conference, too but I can't remember it's name.  It was cartoony like Shank but more 3D and it looked like a cross between Fable and Torchlight.  Anyway, good to see some independent games are still being made that aren't just on the Iphone.

You could say the same thing about Castle Crashers. I think it looks pretty cool, but I'm not sure I'll be picking it up. "

Looks fantastic, sticking a grenade in his mouth and then shooting it to blow his head off was a classic moment.

The game looks alright.  Nothing too special.
 
One thing that bothered me more than anything else was that during the silhouette scene the hp bars got right in the way.  That sucks.  It would be nice if the bars moved to the bottom of the screen or opposite side.

Man I forgot about this game.

Would not suprise me one bit if this became exclusive to the xbla and pc maybe. Fucking psn always get left out in the cold when it comes to quality downloadable titles.

This isn't what I was expecting this game to be at all..I thought it was a shooter.

Its almost here. Hooray. Cant wait for its release in August
