We've been getting indie games in spades this month, and Shovel Knight is one in particular that I really dig.

I wasn't sold on the recent trailer, but from this quick look the game looks really cool.

But as I post in every Shovel Knight video, play Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures if you want another top tier action-platformer. This sort of stuff makes you realize the potential of these throwback games.

This looks a lot more fun than I was expecting. Might have to hook up my WiiU...

Any one know if this game's going to come out on Playstation or Xbox? Would much rather play this on the couch, seems like such a good console game.

Going to go out on a limb here and predict.. the shield knight is now... *gasp* the enchantress! I hope it's not that cliche but I bet it is.

This looks fine, but I don't see what made this garner such a positive response from the crew. I like old games but I'm struggling to see what makes this really stand apart visually or mechanically.

Those dancing fish remind me of those videos of like thousands of carp jumping out of rivers.

Troupple seems to be half Trout, half apple.

Good game mechanics are something you feel, it's not just a seeing thing.

Ive been waiting for a game like this for years! Had to dig out a few of my old NES games to tide me over till today.

Looks better than most retro style platformers on Steam. Not a huuuuuge fan of the genre, but will probably grab this one. Thanks guys!

Holy crap. I need this game in my life. Everything about it is just so lovingly crafted.

Downloaded it last night because of Kickstarter, hope I get time to play it tonight.

Nowadays I see a retro-inspired platformer and roll my eyes, but this one looks so genuine and happy that I really want to try it.

There's a difference between a shovel and a spade. Get it right damn it. A spade is actually sharp enough to cut fools.

This game looks incredible, and yet...

For being such a seemingly accurate homage to an entire era of games, it looks uncharacteristically easy.

Did Jeff snort a 6 foot rail of cocaine before recording this or is he just really excited about Shovel Knight?

This looks like it's pretty early in the game. Most reviews mention that the difficulty ramps up pretty fast.

This game looks really great, and I wouldn`t have given it a thought if it weren`t for this Quicklook. Thanks! Also, DrewxJeff Quicklooks are awesome. Keep up the fun!

I think Shovel Knight IS cocaine.
