That giant fish just had me thinking about Mambo's Mambo from Links Awakening. It has to be a reference to this, it just has to.

The dancing fish is highly reminiscent of Link's Awakening.

Of the several video reviews I watched, most of the reviewers were really clumsy at this game. Props to Jeff for knowing how to play a platformer well and showing it off in all its glory.

Also, these comments are hilarious. Not one quick look goes by without someone either being confused that Jeff doesn't like the game, or that Jeff does like the game.

Keep it Nintendo console exclusive, and you might have an Iconic character the best people on the Internet will care about.

No, because not counting the PC as a platform to play on isn't a real thing. It's only a thing on the internet where people are insecure about their purchase and want to talk it up to themselves.

Anyway, my point was that because it simultaneously released on PC, it was never going to be an iconic Nintendo character. Even at the time of your writing. PC can't be overlooked.

Uh, where in this comment did I imply the game wouldn't be successful? I was talking about the iconic nature of the character, not the success of the game.

I think most people consider the PC and smartphones to be platform-neutral; they are platforms Nintendo doesn't feel it's competing with; Pokémon trading card game is even on PC (and iPad) as is the Miiverse and possibly soon to be eShop.
