Quick Look: Sin & Punishment: Star Successor

My copy's on the way. It's the first game I've bought on release date in probably a year.

This has been out in Europe for a while now. Its awesome.

Nice to see developers really pushing the Wii again.

I said "32-bit era", not "32-bit console". As in fifth generation:

It might be a little late, but am I the only one who thinks the name doesn't fit the game. I mean sin and punishment sounds more like a third person shooter in the vein of the Dead to Rights series, than a cute anime bullet hell game. maybe its just me.

There was no turtle in the Godzilla films.
 
There was Gamera, though he is separate from the Godzilla series. Completely different company.

The character design in this is atrocious.

This game must be hell for whatever compression codec giantbomb use. I can't wait to play it.

Ryan and Vinny are my favorite Quick Look team. I wish they had a picture in picture image of them passing around the Wiimotes and Nunchucks.

This actually looks really fun, contrary to my first impressions.
Not buying it for full price though..

This game looks interesting actually and I might buy this. I need to buy a Wii first, though xD

Another one of a few games I acutally REALLY want on the Wii. Can't wait to pick this one up.

The original game was kinda interesting. Fully voice-acted in English with Japanese subs for the Japanese version (like No More Heroes and Deadly Premonition), yet never came out in America until the VC release.
 
I also see that just like the first game, Treasure decided to make the story as completely nonsensical and incoherent as possible, just as an excuse to give you stuff to shoot.

The craziest thing I remember about the N64 original was that it was a Japan import only but was English dubbed with Japanese subtitles.  I also remember at one point you're shooting at the earth from space like its some kind of boss fight.

And GameTrailers had the gall to say the graphics were bad in this game.  WTF were they smokin?

It is weird that Nintendo held back the US release. 
 
It has been out in the UK for what 2 months now, and already being discounted due to no sales.  Which is a shame as I have always loved Treasure games, and enjoyed this one too.

Absolutely love Treasure. After beating the hell out everything there was to do in Astro Boy: Omega Factor and Gunstar Super Heroes I can't wait to play this.

I like these types of shooting games, which is why it's already on my gamefly queue.

I never played the first game, but this looks like a lot of fun. Now, if I could get Vinny to be my co-shooter . . .

Looks crazy.  I love Treasure games, but I will probably wait to get this.

Gaudy anime-ridden JRPG's I can not stand included, the funnest trope of Japanese developed games has to be their text design.  You can tell IMMEDIATELY it was made in Japan because of how the text and even health bars look.  I LOVE IT!
