Quick Look: Sin & Punishment: Star Successor

As hectic and old-fashioned as this game is, they should just allow two characters on-screen at the same time, or split-screen if they really want to stick with outdated gameplay. The "second player is another reticule" seems kind of boring, and strange since there's clearly two characters shooting in the story whether you have two players or not. You'd think that would imply a focus on two player action.

The flying turtle was Gamera, at it was separate from Godzilla. Completely different series (though there may have been a crossover once).

Pretty sure original Sin and Punishment coop was one player controlling and another shooting, don't know why they took it out for this one.

Wow, 2010 and the two player mode has the other player off-screen.  I guess they wanted retro limitations as well as gameplay.
 
I like a good rail shooter, and this series (while vastly overrated) is among the best of the genre.  I'd still very much like to see a new Space Harrier or Panzer Dragoon though.  You hear me Sega?

This game is pretty cool. They needed to dodge and slice more.

This reminds me of Space Harrier.

If player2 is just a simple tacted on reticle, why stop at 2 on the screen?? If people are playing this on a decent sized screen you can get the whole family in on the fun with one player one screen & 4+ reticles, shooting space alien things or flying koi is fun for everyone. 
 
BTW WTF Is up with the flying koi...freaking Japan game. 

Loved the first game on Virtual Console.  This looks like a blast, I really hope it sells well.  
 
P.S.  Maybe it's an age thing, since I grew up with the NES, but I just never understand "The graphics are hideous!!" comments.  To my eyes, all visuals have been varying degrees of awesome since the Dreamcast launched.  It amuses me that any game whose texture detail falls short of Crysis 2 makes somebody's eyes shoot blood.  You kids don't know how good you got it.  *shakes cane*
