I used to play a ton of KOF 98 with my college roommate, and he could kick some ass playing on the keyboard. Totally glad I got that on XBLA, even in addition to having on AES. That game is great.

If I had to choose a good sword fighting game from SNK, I would pick Last blade 2 and not samurai showdown 2. And I think no one in the giant bomb office knows how to do even basic fighting moves except for Jeff. This always results in anticlimactic fighting game quick looks.

Nice quick look. I still wanna see a Giant Bomb fighting game tournament video, preferably a game everyone is familiar with (IE some incarnation of Street Fighter) though I'm guessing Jeff would still dominate.

Always impressed with Jeff's knowledge of fighting games and I know its a quicklook and all, but maybe...just maybe, he could comment on the sidelines in the future?  I kinda felt sorry for Vinny after awhile.

Sorry, I really like Jeff and all, but I think it's a little f'ed how he handles these fighting game quick looks. I can't even explain properly how annoying it is to watch him compete seriously against someone who obviously doesn't what he's doing.

I don't want to be too hard on the guy but it's like he's so into himself when it comes to fighting games.

Butt is actually pretty cool, other than his name.

The characters on that wood board is the name of his dojo.

The PS2 KOF98UM version did come out in America, and it does have English menus and a reworked soundtrack. I bought it a week before the XBLA version came out for 20+ bucks because I didn't know they were releasing it for cheaper. Thank you for finding faults in this version that somehow justify the extra money I paid to get this.

Glad I never got into either of these, I remember playing the earlier versions on the arcade but I'm rather suprised that they kept in the unnatural  motion of Mai as well as King not losing some of her clothes when you hit her enough times in the round.

Totally agreed though on the WTFness of the lack of translation for some of the Garou game, I can understand completely if that was a pc game but it had to go through the XBL heads to make it available there so you'd think they would have caught that as there's not that much demand on this that it couldn't have waited a few weeks for the translation of a few pages of text to get done.
