I always thought the 'Miles Prower' name was a botched Engrish pun for 'Miles Prowler'. Because a fox being a prowler, makes sense to me. I also saw 'Miles Power' as an alternative bit there, but the MPH thing...i missed it for ten years. Not cool.

Same here! I think I'm only an achievement or two away from S-ranking the first game, I couldn't get the best ranking on all those license test levels. Speaking of, hey @Ryan, are they in this sequel? I saw a few of the menus had a "Y: License" prompt at the bottom, but you guys never checked it out in the QL. In the first game, they were basically a long set of little mini-levels with very specific goals. Was just curious, thanks!

I think I'll pick this up soon, especially at the reduced $40 price point. That After Burner level was awesome, but I'm not surprised; the first game did a good job utilizing Sega's many IPs.

Man, why does this game have Sonic in the title? There was virtually no Sonic in the video, and everything in its stead rocked! Afterburner level with actual flying? In my kart racer? And a remix of that one theme? I would have been tempted if I'd have known about it...!

This game actually looks like a lot of fun! I like the transitions from road vehicles to boat/plane. I might pick this one up split screen racing is fun with others.

Shame Ryan never got to play it a bit further before doing the QL because the game heads straight to absolute lunacy when you start getting past the first four tracks and you see the later ones. Though I suppose it might be a bit of a spoiler showing that Skies Of Arcadia track because it's crazy as all hell.

Though since Ryan was asking. The Different difficulty levels boost up the speed and the difficulty of the AI. They get plenty aggressive on A-Class while the speed starts ramping up and there's another difficulty after a certain point in world tour which is this years contender for the "Dark Souls Memorial award for most broken controllers" and ramps up the speed so much, I need a pictorial representation of how fast it is.

Rad game though. I love it to bits. And I know some people in the office are probably going to freak at that final unlockable character if someone has the patience to get there (Or looks it up on youtube).

Bought this game on Black Friday and I absolutely love it. Finally, a real alternative to Mario Kart.

They're bugged on the Wii U version but are fine for me on the 360. I find the boost challenges to be some of the easiest in the game.

Playing on the Wii U...so yep that makes sense. They seem impossible so I wouldn't doubt they are.

I really like the conceit of transforming into different vehicles, but it seems like they missed a real opportunity to take full advantage of it. If there were multiple routes going on and you had to pick which one you're best at (or your character is best at) then that'd be really cool. Sort of like the MotorStorm of kart racers.

Holy shit. Miles Prower...miles per hour. As a kid I could never understand why a character would have "Miles" as a first name. This is like a phoenix down moment.

That was EXACTLY my thinking as a kid. I thought it was suppose to be like "prowler" because he's a fox.
