Is there a way to trade this game in for an FTL expansion pack?

I don't think Brad being bad at this game is Brad's fault at all. I'm pretty disappointed. Glad I didn't end up backing it :x

I haven't played the game, but from what I understand you move units by tapping them and then tapping where to go? (which sometimes leads to making units move when you try to select a new unit) If that's the case it should be pretty simple to fix, by making the movement command a drag instead of a tap.

Still took me 15 seconds to realize it's an ipad game, damn it, I'm stupid. *clicks back button*

Looks like a game you warm up with prior to playing something bigger.

I go back and forth on my opinion of the guys who made this game. On the one hand, they had horrible kickstarter practices and have been real assholes to people who've backed them before. They've even ran two kickstarters so they could get even more funding than the first one game them.

On the other hand, they did an AMA on the gamedev subreddit and made them seem like nicer people and maybe a little apologetic I donno about them. The game they made seems fine though. It looks like a great concept that wasn't executed nearly as well as it could have been.

No interest in this on touch devices. Looking forward to that PC release though. can't wait to play it.

If there were a way to trade in games for FTL expansion packs I would have way less clutter in my Steam account.

That said, this game looks alright. I don't have an iPad but I'll probably pick it up if I still remember it by the time it reaches PC.

@godmil: To grind the old missions just go back to the planet that they started.

Also to charge the shields station a crew member in the blue science room (shield booster or healing room).

We're going to need to find new conventions to name space-related games, it's starting to get confusing.

I'd find this more appealing if it were turn-based rather than real-time. Or at least have the option to pause and issue commands.

Not sure if some of Brads problems are warranted or if it;'s just Brad... christ, I know he gets some guff from this site, but I never saw someone so confused and complainy from the first mission.

This game just might not be for you, Brad, sorry dude.

This seems like the kind of game that should be right up my street. But after reading about the original scope of exploration that was promised by the kickstarter I'm going to hold off and see if that vision becomes reality and some of the control issues are smoothed out.

Their blog states: "An upcoming mobile space sim for iPhone, Android,PC and Mac." So I guess it will come on steam and that it will have better controls :D Gonna wait for the PC version.

This looks insane with your fingers on a touchscreen, especially a phone sized one, this looks like it would be fun with a mouse though

A great games journalist, but it seems every time he moves into mid-nineties territory game-wise, he's a little out of his league. But hey, maybe I'm just jealous he's so young :)

This game seems... super generic. A great example of why I never have and never will support KickStarters; it's just bad investing (i.e. no return on your investment and a complete loss if you don't like the product).

Also this was a great QL of a pretty cool game...I don't have an iPad so it is a no-go for now. I'll get the PC/Mac ones.

I'm starting to like you a little more Patrick, after watching the Iceland video and this QL, I can forgive you're past transgressions,

Space Quest came out a year after he was born. Maybe even less than a year. Patrick would have started forming memories in 1990 (at age 5), or 4 years after Space Quest came out.

PC Version is definitely coming out this year. They ran a kickstarter for a pretty balling PC edition including mod functions. They're working on that as soon as the Android port is out.

Also they have released a patch and added an Easy mode.

Increase your APMs, Brad.

I finally worked out what this game reminds me of (graphically): Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters! (how's that for obscure)

I bought this. The tutorial is shitty.

Thought on the Kickstarter it looked pretty rad. Have they said when they'll be releasing it on PC?
