Quick Look: Sunset Overdrive: The Mystery of the Mooil Rig

I want to like this game, but even as someone that regularly suspends their disbelief to accept weird video game mannerisms, I can't seem to get past weird physics. Does the game have some kind of explanation for the weird-ass grinding system? What in the world is providing the thrust to propel a man sliding on his shoes from a horizontal plane into an upward slope without losing momentum? ...or is it, as Dan said: "shut up; video games."?

Dan likes Bad Religion. He is the best.

Got to about 26 minutes if you want to hear the real gold

I had to mute this quick-look for a good 6-7 minutes during Boisterous-Ball-Talk Hour w/ Dan Ryckert.

Yeah, that game of the year talk really confused me when they were talking about those two.

I know people think Dan is dumb or a man child, but deciding to get a vasectomy if you are really sure you don't want to have kids is an incredibly admirable and responsible decision for a person to make.

I will never fully understand the Ryckert species but I think I like them.

I'm chuckling at the image of teen Dan just keeling over randomly, shouting "GAH! MY BALLS!"

@thepoark: None whatsoever. The game is entirely unconcerned with how any of its mechanics are possible. I don't even remember any of the 4th wall breaking aspects addressing it. You just slide on things because it's kind of cool.

@brianp: Or it's a short sighted choice that you have to live with the rest of your life. Depends on how he feels in 10, 15 years time.

Red Faction Guerrilla was not great. It was below average as a game. It was a glorified tech demo.

@likeassur: He could always freeze some of his stuff to cover that eventuality. I don't think frozen nut butter expires.
