Just watching Jeff horribly fail the first table was absolutely hilarious. Keep 'em coming!

I'll never understand pinball in a video game format. Half the fun is smashing the side buttons and shacking the machine while thinking it makes a difference.

This looks great, I absolutely adore virtual pinball, and I have no idea why. A childhood without loose change I guess.

You guys need to give the Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection some acknowledgement too. It was made up of all real tables and represented them fairly well. I mainly remember trying many times to beat the final part of Medieval Madness and finally doing so after failing on the final section several times.

Is it just a resale of the disc based game split into dlc or is it a whole separate game?

Wait, pinball tables are wood?! But the lights and stuff? I always figured they were acrylic or some other glass-like plastic.

I can't think of a place to play real pinball here in shitburg Ontario. I'll have to make it a point to find one next time I'm in a real city.

So where would I go to get this for PC? I found the official site, but it's not very helpful.

Wouldn't make more sense to want to play tables that don't exist in the first place? if you care so much for the real experience of the real tables to prefer them over these

@Peewi, the PC version isn't out yet. Right now you can get it for iOS, Android, XBLA, and PSN. The really nice thing about the PSN version is that you buy it once and can play it on both PS3 and Vita, so that's the version to get.

Also, the game audio is really low on this video.

The one thing I don't understand about the Ripley's Believe It or Not table is how it doesn't have the save feature on many more modern pinball machines (if you lose the ball quickly) but it's on the Theater of Magic table. Been having fun with this so far but hoping that they patch in something to copy the multiplayer & camera options from Pinball Fx2.

Also the Arabian Nights table (as well as Medieval Madness & Black Night) are in the Williams collection that was put out on the 360 (maybe the other consoles too) if anyone is after a few other digital versions of real tables.

I love love love the Williams Pinball Hall of Fame collection for the Wii. Using a remote+nunchuck, and nudging the table with swipes left and right, makes it feel extremely authentic. Farpoint also does a great job getting the physics and feel of these tables accurate; playing their collections are almost as good as playing the real thing, and certainly more convenient for most of us.

Can't wait to pick this up for the PS3, as the graphics look great! I'll even be willing to pick up some of the Williams tables already-released on other versions, if they get a graphical upgrade.

Also, I was excited to hear Pinball Wizard Arcade get a mention, as I've been there a couple of times and it's a pinball and classic video arcade fan's dream come true! Literally hundreds of pinball and classic video game machines, all restored and in great working condition. Really, really cool place that's a bit out of the way, but approximately an hour to an hour and a half drive from the Boston area. Here's their web site: http://www.pinballwizardarcade.com/

What? Surely you know how rare pinball tables are these days. What are the odds that I'll ever find a place to play that Terminator 2 table again? Friggin' zero, that's what. It's the equivalent of putting arcade games that we'll never see again, like X-Men and The Simpsons, onto PSN and XBLA: digital preservation.

Thing I hate about these digital pinball games, and this might be weird and/or extremely nitpicky, is the crumby perspective. That second table looked like it was being played from a 5 year old's point of view. If the camera is really low or zoomed in and has to follow the ball around, then I don't want to play.

These guys need to work on a really solid physical virtual table. If they're going after the licenses, it could finally be the time. If they could make one for about $2k or less, it'd sell like crazy.

That was what showed that the simulation was pretty spot on. I can remember putting my quarters in and getting robbed on some games. If they are going to get tables that make me feel nostalgic they are going to have go back a bit farther in that way back machine and kick out machines like the old Elton John, Kiss and Playboy machines.
