Having a ton of fun with this. Glad to see that the horrible marketing was nothing more than that.

I keep missing the livestreams, even when they're announced well in advanced. Makes me sad.

Nothing short of amazing on how quickly the live videos are getting archived these days. Nice!

As cool as the hair can look the character animations sure are janky as fuck. Or maybe it's just because Vinny is constantly spazzing out whenever he's in control of a character?

Also good for Vinny for being the guy from GB to point out how stupid it is to even think about what kind of breast support a video game character is using. It really is so god damn pointless. Stuff like that is disrespecting the human beings who lack a Y chromosome more than anything else.

The textures and foliage on this game look really poor, it doesn't look better than Uncharted 2 or 3 to me, even if it is the PC version.

I kinda loved how the game looked when they put the settings down to low.

Mostly like that, although there are actually a number of segments where injuries really fuck up your ability to get around.

Anyone have issues with the video player? It's really choppy and slow at times. It's pretty much been mandatory to watch these on youtube lately.

Why is there no hunger mechanic in this, MGS3 did it really well and it would have added to the experience I feel. Ah well, pretty excited to play this but I might have to wait for a sale :(

@craftyskills: Make sure you're not watching it in full screen. I was watching it full screen and it was choppy, then went back out and it was faster.

They play with bad framerate. Reduce AA some and turn off v-sync and it would run fine and look exactly the same but they seem to like those features. They did the same in the Crysis 3 QL and decided it was unplayable so they turned off some actual eyecandy instead to get it running :)

Man, this game looked amazing when it glitched out. I wouldn't mind playing a game that went all out on that kind of aesthetic.

@rethla: No, it was the video in full screen. When watching it regularly, it's totally fine.

The premise and those found-footage tapes gives me a rather distinct The River vibe. The game itself looks great, too.

Actually Noomi Rapace (I think that's the actresses name) did THE EXACT SAME THING in Prometheous, so no, video games aren't really alone when it comes to ignoring fatal wounds :P

Well then you had some problems with the player. I downloaded the QL and watched it on my TV and it doesnt run nearly as smooth as i want a PC game to run.

FYI, this game is in Redboxes throughout America, so you can play through this whole thing for significantly less money.

The video card going bust is such a weird moment. Much like Vinny, I always get a bit freaked out when games do that.

Funny how Brad wants a "Hair mod" when chances are high the first mod is gonna probably end up being a nude mod. After all the original Tomb Raider basically invented the whole "Nude patch" thing for polygonal models.

Yup having the same issues since the launch of the new site, the sleeping dogs DLC QL also had been really choppy at fullscreen/anything but HTML5 on Chrome. But the PC i'm watching on has some GPU/Driver issues, i guess the new layout is somewhat more heavy on flash or something like that?

The way new hair tech always looks like it has a mind of its own, I really want someone to come up with actual hair AI at some point.

edit: I'm also not sure why Arkham always gets the credit for gradual appearance decay - Prince of Persia did that waaay back... which is probably why it's easier to forget, I guess.

People think the Tressfx looks good? I think it looks awful and super unrealistic. Especially the shadows on her shoulders.
