I really wish the people who make fighting games would at least try to do something for people who can never be competitive online. I have owned several fighting games and probably never won a fight against a human.

Seriously. I remember playing Street Fighter X Tekken online and I was lucky to land a hit before losing. Traded that game in like a week later.

Does Steam Works support mean SF mods are coming? If so, I am ready to pay money for a Simon Belmont character with a stage set on the mean streets of Barkerville, Thatland.

They always should skip looking at menus or explaining modes and stuff. Just start every video with 'people who are interested in this game know probably more about this than us anyway, go watch better coverage elsewhere if you want that' and just get to the quick looking.

I guess its positive that they're taking their time with Street Fighter 5, I just hope they don't stuff it up as 4 is great for tournaments but it is no way a perfect fighting game.

I hope the new staffer is secretly a fighting master....and says nothing to Jeff until the next fighting game Quick Look.

I'm waaay into this idea. Whoever they are, here's hoping they're into some crazy stuff the other guys aren't that big on. I'm sure they probably considered that sort of stuff when searching, after all.

Hopefully. The GameSpot side has a good amount of em.

The GameSpot Now Playing of USF4 shit all over this Quick Look.

What is there for them to do, though, other than lame handicaps or a massive restructure of the gameplay or something? The fact of the matter is, anyone playing any iteration of Street Fighter 4 in 2014 has probably been playing for quite a while. In fact, anyone playing any fighting game in general in 2014 has probably been playing them for as long as they've played video games, given how niche the genre has become. It's pretty much impossible to get over those hurdles. I do understand the frustration, though—I haven't yet won an online match. Practice, practice, practice! Fighting games take a lot of work.

Anyway, I'm liking the game so far.

how about a meaningful single player experience?

I suppose you're right, but nevertheless, it's not really what people play fighting games for. I tend to really enjoy the trials modes though—it's where I've put the majority of my time into SF4 and KoF XIII. I suppose a few games do single player pretty well: I generally dislike NetherRealm's fighting games but enjoyed the MK9 challenge tower, SC2's weapon master mode was pretty fun.

But ultimately fighting games aren't very good as single player experiences. It becomes more learning the best way to exploit AI than actually learning anything that will make you a better player.

In any case, any shitty SF4 players here, free to play me, another shitty SF4 player, on PSN some time. My PSN name's the same.

Oh, one other comment re: this game, it's a bit buggy. Elena looks really broken and has a disgusting hurtbox. It's probably going to need a patch. People are finding some pretty shitty things.

The fact that this upgrade gives you the 4 Arcade Edition characters is further reason I'm glad I didn't invest in that expansion...

Also: people inserting their own narratives into these Quick Looks will NEVER get old.

I dunno what's worse....Capcom keeps doing this shit. Or gamers are so fucking stupid they give them reason too

Yeah, fuck Capcom for releasing a $15 upgrade that freshens it up the game for the people who really enjoy it. Are you mad that Blizzard is releasing another WoW expansion as well? It's not for you, and that's ok, no reason to be a dick about it and call people fucking stupid.

Dude! DUDE! $15 for 5 characters? That's like THREE DOLLARS per character!

I mean seriously, when're they just gonna release Street Fighter V for a full $60 and set everything back to ZERO already?!
