Quick Look: Wet

So its Stranglehold meets Prince of Persia with a grindhouse visual style?  To be honest my impression after seeing this quick look is that the graphics and animations look janky as hell.  Thats really the only criticism I can come up with at this time.  Not really feeling any desire to play through plank-world or deck-world or whatever the hell that stage is called.  As a side note the reason I compare the shooting to Stranglehold like most other people is because the slow down is automatic, circumstancial, and style based like that game was, even if you could toggle the auto bullet time.

If anything, it has a great sense of style.

Just finished the demo. I can see why it's getting shit on by the press, but I genuinely had fun. Wet is definitely a rent for me.

I really liked the more 'inside baseball' feel of this quick look... Although it's too bad the tone change was probably a result of 'mediocre-game' fatigue...

If this game was 40$ then i would pick it up but with it being 60$ right now, ill just have to pass on this.

looks alright. i can see myself getting entertained by the acrobatics and combat.

The gun play reminds me a lot of John Woo's Stranglehood.

Screw he stupidity of this game! That gentleman in the beginning had an awesome Irish accent.

even though i wasn't expecting much, i was still disappointed by the demo

Hey! It's Mirror's Edge with more guns!

I haven't played the demo yet but I think it looks like a fun rental.  I'm currently playing Tomb Raider: Underworld and this reminds me of that game which despite its flaws I am enjoying.  If the controls are functional, I might rent this and shoot stuff from zip lines one weekend.

Shuddup! You sound like quite the douchebag there. It tries to have style but clearly fails because of the flimsy gameplay mechanics that show it up. It is just a poor imitator of John Woo's: Stranglehold. That game wasn't perfect at that as well   "

The demo was kinda crap. And a lot of the character animation looked pretty last gen.

I love Eliza Dushku, but this game?  It just looks repetitive at best.

The demo was a lot of fun, but it probably only works when you play it short bits at a time. So: they should have made the game episodic!

Not that anyone here would give a flip, but that is some seriously atrocious dialogue. Superficial and trite, and so ostensibly desperate in its attempt to chase down those Tarantino "accents."

This game is awful!

I don't like this game. I think the graphics are great, lovely artwork and textures and the cut scenes are good but the models clip with even stuff that is scripted. I don't like it because it's repetitive; add to that it being completely on rails and you've got a game that I reckon gets dull pretty quickly. I hope the story is good enough to bolster what's lacking. Oh and that sliding on the floor thing is ridiculous; knee-pads made of titanium...

Seems like a "refreshment" kinda game. Probably worth a spin.

Wow was that scene where she ran from the explosion toward the camera like "crash bandicoot" or what!?
 
Hopefully since the game is ULTRA repetitive they made it short... Looks like a video game version of a popcorn movie i.e. rent it or maybe buy it for $20. Go into it knowing its flawed and just play it for a weekend.
 
But man i gotta say that hair looked bad from the back in the cutscene. Why is hair so hard... PS4 and the Xbox 720 will get hair right im sure :)

WTF is up with her grunts? Seriously? MEAAAH. I'm not asking for girly, whimpy screams but you couldn't honestly find anything better than MEEAAAH?!

Now I ve got the game I can't think how this got through play testing, the controls are awful and make the game unplayable. Whats the jump all about????? Its like Spyro PS2 all over again.

Yeah worse then stranglehold, at least you could blow stuff up. in this the shooting mechanics are so bad i cant actually hit anyone unless im a) flying through the air, b) sliding on my hawt-rubi-ass c) crab-crawling inverted down a 50ft ladder. All of which? Slow mo. SLOW MO. And yes,, more slow mo. Gawd it's like the '300' of video games... And i thought stranglehold was pushing the limit of how much we should allow slow-mo-badassness into our games. Both are artistically and technically on the same level too. Not quite original xbox game, but almost. Basically the orignal max payne looks better, what's worse is that's all this game is: a big rip of Stranglehold, which? Is a big rip of Payne. Sad thing is, 10 years later Max Payne still takes the cheese. LOL.
 
I do like the red scenes with t he white blood. Yeah...that's kinda cool I guess. Kinda seems that's what your paying 60 bucks for, and some QTEs. YTaaaaaaay!!....

Is it just me, or do that dude in the fishinghat look alot like Dave?
