Hmm the clipping and collision issues look like they'd get really frustrating over time...

I'm surprised by how good this looks. People can say "I wish this was on the 360/PS3", but it I don't really think it would be the same game.

After seeing this, I can't wait to see what the Metroid offering is. Oh sure, I won't finish it, just like ever Metroid Prime game I bought, but it's a "love to not complete" sort of thing.

People don't have washing machines in the bathroom in America? Where else would you put it? In the bedroom?

fire effects from molotov look crappy and I feel like the controls are possibly clunky too, but I can see myself playing and enjoying this game.

@Askherserenity: @DeF: After what Ryan had to say about "the feel" I'm gunna guess it hasn't changed enough then.

To be fair, it depends on the person. Rich from IGN had serious issues with controls in early builds of the game but the recent stuff from last month's hands-on event brought him around on it for example. Ryan said that after like 5 minutes of the multiplayer with frantic zombie chaos around him and not adjusting any aiming settings.

There'll be a demo on the eShop for this game "soon" so you can try yourself whenever you may get access to a system.

Yes Patrick, people put washing machines in their bathrooms. I'm guessing it's less common in America as laundromats are more of a thing over there, perhaps ? If you live in a building without a basement, where else would you put it ?

We have laundromats, but that's usually for people that don't currently have working washing machines. Washing machines I believe are often connected to the kitchen, at least mine is, and I've seen many others' as well.

Washing machines and dryers in the bathroom is semi-common in New Zealand. I assume we got this from the UK.

@Bummlmitz: @Ares42: To be honest, I'd say the same for bathrooms. Even if a bathroom is considered "clean", that's usually considered the nastiest place in the house, so matching clean clothes with the grosest place in the house is kind of the antithesis of what you want happening. Oh, and I said next to the kitchen, not in the kitchen; it's in a separate room. Is that how it is with the bathroom, or is it actually by the counter or toilet, or something?

Depends on the home. Most homes will still have a finished main floor laundry if for some reason there isnt a basement. Usually off a attached garage entry or a side/back entryway if there is no attached garage. Something like an apartment/townhome might have a small closet area and stacked machines. Apartments will usually have some shared machines on each floor if there isnt a main laundry room for the whole building. Guess we just dont do bathroom laundry over here. Never even heard of it before now.

@NTM: Most people I know just have it in their bathroom. When your apartment is basically just bedrooms, den w/kitchen or a seperate kitchen and a bathroom there isn't really anywhere else to put it. Never really thought much about it, but I guess it's actually a major plumbing difference in how housing is put up, so I guess it's just a traditional thing. I do remember my grandparents actually having a washing room next to the kitchen though.

Most of you guys have completely missed the point of Dark Souls. It wasn't a great game, because it was hard. It was a great game, because of its great combat mechanics. You can rip all the features from Dark Souls you want, if you leave your combat as bad as ZombiU seems to leave it, you aint got no Zombie Dark Souls. Nice to see Patrick still rocking that cricket bat the gamespot review complained about after Patrick has over 5 hours of gametime, wheres the progression? His inventory is full of stuff and still he has to use the bat? How many different weapons had you used in say Dead Island after 5 hours?

I am very wary about buying a Wii U because like the Wii it's going to get half assed efforts once the next PlayStation and Xbox gain momentum, unless the next Sony and Microsoft consoles tank.

I thought that too when I started playing it, but it really isn't bad. It's just deliberate and timing based, I actually now think it's fantastic now that I'm not trying to play it like God of War.

I think it's fun to feel weak and overwhelmed in games like this. Doing the best you can and just about struggling to survive for not much longer.

Shooting zambies in Bucking-ham Palace looks fun enough, but it's not a system seller for me.

It seems like a really inefficient use of space. Our bathrooms usually aren't bigger than they need to be. Plus it's gotta suck if you have to put your clothes in the dryer and someone just dropped a deuce.

It is pretty awesome that because this is a launch title, so many people who wouldn't play a game like this are now going to get the chance to. What makes that even better is the fact that this game looks pretty sweet with a fantastic interface which shows quickly how the wii U's tech can be applied to the FPS genre (which is super important , especially at launch) . If this game is successful enough the wii U is going to have a bright future with games that the Nintendo name usually isn't known for.

What a novel concept? Clean it you say? Of course we are. But to "clean" it after every use is just crazy. I have a roommate. He goes to the bathroom. I go in after to put my clothes in the dryer only to be greeted by some good ol man stank. Yeah, no thanks. BTW, is having a washing machine in the bathroom a source of national pride or something for you guys? You got all kinds of snarky for no reason.

No, cleaning it after every use isn't crazy, it's common sense. I obviously don't mean cleaning the whole bathroom after every time you take a shit, but I'm assuming you don't shit in such a way that you somehow cover all the walls with shit. If you do clean the actual toilet after every use at least a little bit, it's not gonna stink all that badly, besides, ventilation exists for a reason.

@Lifendz: lol, this conversation is taking a strange turn. I just found it strange how he had such a strong reaction to something I just take for granted. Arguing about what makes more sense doesn't really matter, as it seems to be more of a tradition thing. I was in the market for a new apartment about 2 years ago, and every single one I checked out had washing machine in the bathroom as the only option for laundry.

I was always interested in this game since E3 for its concepts specifically, but I do not want to buy a Wii U just for it, so it's an unfortunate situation.
