Quick Look: Shrink Wrap Tuesday: Part 01 - Socom 4

Saw this at the midnight launch (of socom4/portal2/mk) with the sharpshooter setup, seemed rather tough to control for a while until you get used to it. Probably not the best way to sell the game to the people who enjoyed the earlier versions on the game.

Victory dance seems a little silly in the game but could work if the dance actually looked like something halfway sensible.

Plus Ryan, I too remember the PS2 gem Lifeline. Mostly from the X-play video on it with the priceless command in the headset 'bark like a dog' & hearing her response to that.

Doesn't look bad.

Interesting idea of a game yet rather flawed due to controls as the main system for controlling the character is next to fingerprints on being unique enough to cause problems (voice & microphone quality for registering it). If it used a keyboard of commands with a wait & see instead of relying on voice then it might have worked.

Agreed with others, wouldn't mind seeing a retro quick look of games like Lifeline to see how it seems now to the GB crew.

Dam! I thought Jeff sucked at Gears, he's even worse at Socom.

the game is good the problem is that Sony kinda killed the franchise by first releasing a very bad socom, sequel  and then taking this long to release a proper socom,  they probably lost most of their fan base

My roommate only tried the Blops campaign because PSN was down.  Jeffs analogy totally works.

Jeff doesnt have the competitive MP Shooter instincts ;). For example always when he gets shot he stops and looks around instead of running while looking around.
