This Ain't No Game: TANG: Final Fantasy VII Advent Children

I agree, this movie is just for fans of the game.
I tried to make other non-gamers watch it and they were lost.
I myself loved every minute of it. Square won't give us a real sequel...
so this is the next best thing... I guess.
I prefer watching it in Japanese with English subs.

Anyway, total fan service just like Metal Gear Solid IV...
just bring everyone back... even the dead ones!

I like watching these things because I'm interesting in these movies, but not enough to watch them. 5-10 minutes is the exact amount of time I'm prepared to invest in them, so keep making them Ryan, you movie making rat bastard.

I like this movie simply for the fact that the action is crazy awesome and its all accompanied by Nobuo Uematsu orchestral soundtrack. I cant believe you didnt mention the music!

You know if they made an anime game based on FF 7 I probobly would watch it and then the movie, heck if FF7 was an action RPG I probobly would enjoy it and  therefor watch this however as it was I couldn't get into the series, too many random battles.

Lol, I actually have a copy that a friend gave to me! Dunno if I'm going to watch it though, I haven't played FF7 (waiting for a remake)..

Final Fantasy Advent Children sucked. They completely ruined the epic appeal the video game had. When they brought Rufus back, that was it for me. And the other characters showing up, just to help Cloud beat Sephiroth? Pathetic. What about their lives? What have they been doing? We never find out.  The Sephiroth Clones were completely pointless. The so called love triangle is never solved. Tifa is more like a Big Sister to Cloud, not a love interest. I could go on, but I don't want to make a novel post.

The movie was good but the reasoning for Sephiroth's return was pretty fucking ridiculous. I know that's what the mass wanted but I just found it out of place. Granted, the fight was cool but it still irked me. Although I really wasn't expecting anything else so I guess I can't really complain.

I like this movie because the action scenes are sompletely ridiculous and awesome, but the story is really shitty. Sephiroth's grand plan of "I AM GOING TO USE THE PLANET AS A SPACE SHIP TO FIND ANOTHER PLANET THAT SUCKS LESS" is retarded and besides that, there isn't really a huge threat that needs to be taken care of.

This film is freakin' awesome!

I forgot how utterly ridiculous this movie was.  That scene with Cloud getting thrown up into the air...ugh.

That fighting Bahamut scene looks so retarded

no man, Aerith is supposed to be there man, she reachin out from the dead man, it's all good, it's groovy. Seriously this movie kicks balls, if you can't appreciate it in the context just watch the CGI, it's really good for back when it was made.

I should watch more TANGs, this was very fun and amusingly cut. I like Advent Children for all the crazy action, but the scene Ryan believes is the coolest one from the movie seems very familiar. Its a lot like one of my favorite sequences from the manga One Piece (Chapter 206).

It too is totally over the top and silly but hey, isn't that what you want when you're making a TANG video?
It's based on a game and it's got really bad acting, or in this case, really bad voice acting. ;-p

If you are going to watch this movie now, watch the " Complete " version, so much better.

Great video, made me laugh more than a few times at just how "hey, y'all like nostalgia, right!?" the whole movie is. I have an undeniable reverence for FFVII since it was the first RPG I ever played (therefore introducing me to my favorite genre of games from that day forth), but even I was never able to sit through this movie in one go. 
 
Pretty much total nonsense the whole way through, but it has enough "fucking YES" moments to make me enjoy it. I don't consider it canon in the FFVII universe, though, as that would just be silly (same goes for Crisis Core, despite the fact that the game is awesome).

Damn, these TANGs are so addicting. Good stuff. Keep em coming!
