I love seeing some of these ridiculous games I had no idea existed, such as Snoopy.

Snoopy reminds me of Smurfs: Rescue in Gargamel’s Castle on ColecoVision. I played that terrible game so much when I was a kid.

Fun Fact... Snoopy was basically the mascot for the Apollo program and was the name of the LEM for Apollo 10, 50 years ago last May and is still somewhere out in space. Unlike all the other LEMs that launched.

So of course, Happy 50th Apollo 11.

Snoopy is the Dark Souls of side scrollers.

Got home after locking my keys in the car to find my refrigerator making a weird noise. I have to get my car to the mechanic for an overheating problem tomorrow and walk home six miles. I could use some Snoopy right now.

ETA: This game is just making things worse.

Ah yes, Snoopy, famous everywhere for his association with the music of Scott Joplin.

@jeff There's a remake of Commando for the 64 called the Arcade Edition with all the levels. Well worth a play.

Fuck yeah NES Rambo. What a shitty, amazing game.

@jeff There's two versions of Bionic Commando (ignoring remakes), one was released in the US, and the other in Europe. The European version plays a lot better, and has some awesome music by Tim Follin (of later Contradiction fame). If you've only played the US version, it'd be interesting to see you compare the two. I think this region-specific release thing happened to a handful Capcom games at that time.

When Capcom released a combined soundtrack collection for Commando and Bionic Commando, they included the C64 versions of both, which is pretty awesome, since it seems Japanese companies normally pretty much pretend the western home computer conversions didn't happen.

Love some more MiSTer and some Old Games Jeff magic. I came all the way from my Roku to say thank you.

It was a Commando clone.

This reminded me of the inscrutable Snoopy game on the Amiga. It was more of an adventure game with some light platforming elements. I remember getting pretty far but never finishing it.

The things we put up with in our youth.

I love how the Snoopy game represents the comics accurately. Like that one time Snoopy dodged pits of fire and lazers.
