Love this idea for a series of short-er form videos. Good luck, we're all counting on you.

I wonder if Dan has ever played a co-op game without setting down rules and regulations first.

Guys, I get that This is the Run, but is This THE run?

...wait. I guess this isn't THE run.

Hm, I went back to watch Part 1 to make sure I wasn't going crazy, but yeah, the game feed looks quite a bit blurrier than in the previous episode. Did Vinny turn on a bilinear filter in the emulator? Or maybe it's something the tricaster/layout software is doing? Always stick to Point/Integer scaling for sharp pixels, yo!

(The colours also look warmer, too, but they probably look a little better)

The premise for this new series is great. Can't wait for more. Keep up the great work!

I love the sense of fun in this video. You can really tell Dan and Vinny are having a great time.

This feature is quickly growing on me AND it's bite size enough to squeeze into a smaller window of time! I can't wait for the secret next game they teased!

So, how many stages are there in Contra? Are they getting close or are they still miles off?

I thought it was Bill Frontline!?

Really hope Gunstar Heroes is the next game. Similar feel to Contra, but the power-up combinations are a blast.

Despite the high potential for failure, these are the most energetic, optimistic, enthusiastic Giant Bomb videos since that time they played Quack Shot to completion.

@sethmode: Bill is a man of many names, or 2 so far.

@danryckert: A suggestion I learned from playing a lot of bullet hells... If you start to feel the pressure, find a clear spot and pause long enough to take a sip of water. It will break your focus from the stress, and the physical action will keep your muscles from tightening, keeping you from accidentally hitting the wrong buttons.

Theres only 8, so they aren't doing so bad! This could be the run!

What is the horrible high pitched sqeaking noise that accompanies each shot sound sometimes? Is that an original bug with the game or an emulation problem?
