Man, this was a good scrub league.

It was cool but it did a run a bit short. It would have been great if they held some sort of rematch between the top three using a regular controller.

I can tell you that I was lucky enough to hear the Angry Birds song, and it is pretty incredible. Rovio are jerks.

They all seem to be pretty bad pac-man players,but in their defense thy are not playing it on the pac-man arcade machine.

Pretty sure it's free live, and premium members only get the recorded version. it's been that way for months. i remember because before i was a monthly member, i would just hop over to justin.tv and watch the recorded version there. not sure if that still works because i'm a paying customer now, and i'll be damn sure to use it.

HAHAHA coonce is a fucking ghost himself. god damn coonce. wtf WAS that? i came in late during the live broadcast. thank god they record these.

With all the ire directed at the controller, actually makes this quite more interesting as many arcade cabinets & arcade tournaments were often on machines which were less than pristine which might level the playing field some except in this case where Jeff or whoever might take it (whoever owns the fight stick & used to it).

I wish I could have seen it live, but alas, I'm having an exam in about 3 hours. I couldn't stay up until so late last night :(

You know, I can't actually tell if their fight stick is actually bad, or they just aren't used to using a fight stick. If you've never used one before, or aren't that familiar with it, I can see how it would be bad to start with such a precision game like Pac-Man, but once you learn it, it's actually really cool playing games that aren't fighting games with one. Like Rez. Way better than you'd expect, playing Rez with a fight stick.

Grrrrrrr...I feel like I'm being punished for being in another country. I can't wake up in the early morning so I can never watch TNT.

@fox01313: @whatisdelicious: I think the 8-way stick was a problem. Jeff is familiar with using it with fighting games which put him at a huge advantage (he knows the hand positions for absolute up and such) but others unfamiliar with it may have had it cocked slightly off to the right or left when they thought they were holding it in the up position, for example. That's what a 4-way gate is used for. They may as well just let everyone use the directional pad on the 360 controller if they weren't going to use a proper 4-way stick, just made everyone look bad...was a disappointing scrub league but i enjoyed hearing the history from Buckner & Garcia.

Damn, the last Scrub League was a free archive for everyone. And I'm too lazy to go to J.tv, their archives kinda suck.

Still watching it, but did they ever notice that the level the later opponents were starting on was level 5?

Kinda dumb that they used a TE for this. It's pretty hard to get used to hitting just up down left right consistently without touching diagonals on a square gate japanese joystick.

The game was reading a lot of accidental diagonals and changing directions while they were playing. Should have just used regular pad.

Angry Bird isn't from Norway, don't put that shit on us!
