Multiplayer X-Com looks fantastic and super tense. I really hope the other X-Com release is as solid as this one, I though it looked amazing when first debuted as an FPS.

Yea two broadcasts happening at the same time isn't ideal. Do a switch back and forth with completely separate audio next time.

Editorial note guys, it's not conducive to good content if both "streams" are playing at once. It's just confusing and a little annoying. If we could make the first hour XCOM and the last TGRAFX that wouldve made this much more engaging. Or just done the whole thing as XCOM cause that ROCKS!!!!

Shoulda had two seperate streams, maybe the TurboGrafx coulda been a subscriber stream only. Definately too much going on, and I'd rather focus on the TurboGrafx which kinda got the shaft.

Finally sold me on XCOM..... congratulations! and goodbye any remaining free time i had left 

this was a clusterfuck, but still enjoyable at times,

the double feed works when the games arent that interesting to watch on 1 stream, but in this case both streams were both very interesting

Yep, I think that's the real issue here too. Previously, with a game like Tokyo Jungle it worked just fine. However the discourse going on between Jeff and Patrick seemed legitimately interesting so having it go on simultaneously with the equally interesting XCOM just didn't work well.

I thought the double feed was great. It's not supposed to be the main stream because they're having a turbo grafx stream later. xcom is low key enough to have something else going on.

Those percentages are a lie but it made those matches more interesting.

This was fantastic. I loved the mind games on XCOM. They should absolutely play that again. With the longer timers for more time to stress. Perhaps choose to have the same team loadouts so that it's like a XCOM chess match! Matching wits in front of the world! :)

I completely disagree with Brad. My sniper can't move and shoot in the same turn and he kicks ass. He's my best squadmate.

@lordofultima: I think this WAS that Turbografx stream. Unless I missed something and they are having another Turbografx stream which is 100% all Turbografx?

Shit man, watching a game of XCOM being played is almost as fun as playing it. Also that final game was quite simply the best.

I hated--no, loathed--those giant pressure sensitive buttons on the original Street Fighter. What a shit game that was.

Wished these were separate events, as both TG16 and XCOM were fun to watch.

To anyone reading this, I have a question. How do you buy Xcom: Enemy Unknown? I've been on the marketplace (360) and all I can find is the demo.

And if all else fails, then my next question would be do I need a high-end PC to play it or can it run on a average PC?

@GTCknight: I imagine on the 360 it's only available as a boxed copy. And while I don't know, I'd assume this game scales well on PC and you'd be able to run it on a fairly low-end system. I assume this since Firaxis are generally pretty good at scaling games on PC.

Sorry for not really having any facts or solid information, these are all assumptions on my part.

Yeah, it's a full $60 retail game, so you'll have to pick up a boxed copy. It's definitely worth the price of admission if you enjoy strategy games.

Man, it's been a looong time since we got any premium content.

I'm amused by the idea that Ryan played XCOM to completion, yet he somehow still has this idea that Cyberdiscs are invincible and you can just run them within range of like 4 guys. Then he decides to use a move that gains no advantage from the fact that his Cyberdisc is at such close range.

Brilliant.

Also, Ryan barely used Run and Gun, which is one of the only abilities you should use basically EVERY time it cools down, especially in the slugfests in this TNT where Ryan generally knew where Brad had guys.
