Unfinished: Audiosurf 2 02/01/2014

I sort of enjoyed the first audio-surf, so maybe I'll pick this up, but only when it fully comes out. No interest in playing it while it's being made.

I was hugely into Audiosurf 1, but I barely listen to music anymore, so unfortunately I'm probably not going to pick this up.

It's still Audiosurf. It doesn't seem to offer that much different or better than Audiosurf original.

It's a bummer you can't scrobble to last.fm. Also not having Spotify support is a deal breaker. The former might get sorted eventually but I don't have any high hopes for the latter to be solved.

That mod stuff seems really cool.

This is one of those few games I really wish would come to phones and tablets. It would work well, and would make music that much more enjoyable on the go.

Also I find it rather amusing to see Jeff playing Midnight Brown during some of this.

I kinda just think this game looks ugly. The skins can solve that, I guess.

The problem with audiosurf is the act of playing it felt random and unconnected to the music. Even if there are multiple pickups scrolling down the screen that coincide with the beat, all im actually doing is waiting then pressing left or right at random intervals.

whatever algorithm they are now using seems more in tune with the music, maybe that will fix it somewhat.

Also, doesn't our user @hamst3r have something to do with this?

I know Midnight Brown is probably kinda supposed to be a joke, but I honestly think it's better than 90% of the pop/rap music on the radio today.

I saw Go for the first time last year and I enjoyed it. Can't say it's going to grow into a favourite of mine or anything, but it was a fun time all the same.

I used to ride this song in the first game, a lot.

Looks like it would get really repetitive after a day or so, and the extra modes they experimented with had very debatable differences to warrant their own thing. Audiosurf just isn't my thing. Good to hear Midnight Brown. Yeeeah!

playing the tron soundtrack might just make me play this game...

Game's already made a lot of progress since the initial release. But turns out all I want to do is play Mono.

That's the kind of deal where Audiosurf would have to shove a pile of money at Spotify that they don't have to get made. That partnership would be HUGE for Audiosurf, but Spotify would get nothing out of it.

The Tron soundtrack is the shit! So fucking good! It's a real shame Daft Punk wasn't even Oscar nominated that year.

...Audiosurf 2 seems good, but is it good enough to have that SWITCHBACK song on it? I dunno...

Now I really want to buy this and just play through the whole Tron soundtrack...

I don't think that Requiem for a Dream is a good movie.

Had a great time with Audiosurf 1 in college, (although at the time I was occasionally under the influence of certain substances which probably made the game seem more entertaining than it was.) That said, I've sunk far too much time into Beat Hazard than I care to admit.

I do like playing the new mode, though. It makes me imagine a music-generated SSX, which would be the bee's knees. I just wish they could get Spotify support... I know why they probably can't, but how great would that be?

Yeah, most of the other stuff is too much for me, and it isn't something I could see myself playing that much to get good at the more complicated modes.

Man. The Brown. Who cares about the game? Midnight Brown forever.

This looks like it may be worth it just for the crazy mods.

Of course I have to wait until it's finished before I give them cash money dollars.
