This and Nuclear Throne having their names changed really weirded me out. Indie games can get away with completely bonkers, really iconic names like Wasteland Kings and Incognita. So it's always weird when they decided to go with a more generic title that reeks of focus tests.

It's good to see developers finally creating more out of the closet characters.

I think I remember this episode of Get Smart.

I really hope this comes to PS4. I absolutely love Klei games. Mark of the Ninja is one my favorite games ever.

P.S. I think a guard did open the closet then Dan left the key card in his pocket when he took the medigel stuff.

I can say, from past experiences, that being stuck in the closet is bad.

Also this game seems kinda neat, but something I would be bad at.

Some of the characters in this game need to be true to themselves and come out of the closet.

Leave it to Dan to get locked in a unlocked closet :)

Sweet, been waiting for a quick look of this. I like Klei, I like stealth and I like XCom, so I hope this will turn out as good as it deserves to be!

Loving the look and animations, sadly not my kind of game though.

I'd like to think that Dan is in charge of the decoy team while the actual spies gets the job done.

@captain_felafel: I don't know I like the title. It's clever (you know like invisible ink) and conveys a company of espionage which is intriguing. I remember first hearing the title and thinking that the title was really clever and how hasn't there been something with the name before.

Or maybe I'm a dumb focus tester.

This makes me wish Shadowrun Return's mechanics had been this good; I liked Dragonfall's story, but the entire engine for that game looks like a bootleg version of this. When is someone going to port DMS/Dragonfall to this game? =p

I thought this game sounded really awesome but I'm with Jeff on this one - I just don't know if I like being pressured this much when gaming.

I hope we can get a full on quick look when this is released, I didn't find this specific video installment that informative and didn't get a good sense for the game itself, beyond it being like XCOM, unfortunately.

That seems like a really big oversight that it shows that a door is locked and you can't open it but if you try to walk through it just opens.

I'm sure there will be, but I got a sense that early on it's more melee and the hacking reminded me of Gunpoint. Knocking out a dude doesn't mean they're out of action, they'll get up in a few turns much like MGS. Being able to hack turrets is interesting, wonder if you could kill enemies like that.

Oh, and lasers kill people!

You can. The turrets only have enough ammo to kill 2 people, though.

This is like a microcosm of Dan's life. He bumbles around, makes bad choices, doesn't really understand what's going on, but somehow everything works out. I love it!

this was a great quicklook, really kind of how i play games, fucking up along the way.

Trapped in the Closet is a goddamn masterpiece. What started as a tale about infidelity spiraled into fucking criminal acts and pimps and mobsters and AIDS and it's great.

Based on that video, "masterpiece" is kinda stretching it. The next time I have, what seems like, two free hours to spare I'll give it a listen to be sure, though.

I caved and bought this. Glad I did. There could be more no more accurate a description than "what if XCOM was a stealth game". I just hope the final game has more variety and incentive for constant replaying beyond just actually getting to the end. The constant failure just two or three missions in reminds me a lot of FTL in a good way, but FTL had more moving parts to discover in each playthrough. Maybe I'm just not getting far enough to see any of the neat stuff...

I did find some more hacking tools, though, and... is it just me, or do some of the mechanics and power-to-cost ratios smell like Netrunner? I know hacking themes are pretty generic, but it feels awfully specific to have a program called "Parasite" that latches onto a system and reduces its power by 1 each turn until it succumbs... No? Just me?
