Aaaaah Nethack. I played Nethack obsessively for a while. Never beat it even once, haha, but I had fun so what's the difference? It was actually a homebrew Nintendo DS port of it, which works better than you'd think (I was playing it with a tileset though).

Only on giantbomb can you have a segment of someone digging straight down and have it be somewhat entertaining.

That StarForge bit was the funniest thing I've seen in a while. It was the exact opposite of the last time Vinny showed it off where he built his box tower. I wish Brad would have gave less fucks during that Rust bit, I hope we'll see it again.

I've had people who work in my store deliver food only to come back traumatized. The worst (and most hilarious) was when a customer left a sign on the door saying he was in the basement and that the driver should just let himself in. The driver did just that (which is against the rules by the way because you're never to enter the persons house) and he found the old man set up in a position that was obviously meant to be seen while furiously masturbating. The driver was traumatized.

Are there actually any Rust servers that aren't just full of assholes? The only video I've seen of the game is of people not being able to find resources on high-population servers and getting shot a bunch.

I should get into Nethack. I learned to play Dwarf Fortress last year and I continue going back to it, but it requires a certain frame of mind. Nethack seems like something you can just chill out with.

I'm surprised by the backlash against Brad's segment. I think it's hilarious watching him run around, not finding things, making friends, acting somewhat cowardly yet sensible. Things like "communicating through the universal language of jumping" and "That guy wants to give me stuff, but that guy wants to give me bullets" are great, and Jeff's frustration just makes it funnier.

Air Control is like the Soda Drinker Pro of flight sim games.

All of these comments getting bent out of shape about the Rust segment are hilarious. Whatever, nerds, I don't really care that you've wasted 40 hours on this dumb alpha and know how to play it right. I was fine just watching Brad flail about and not trust anyone who came up to him, because that's about what I'd expect from any player who first starts out in that game.

Also can we just rename this video to Sleepy Fridays?

I was getting a real "Richard Dreyfuss in Jaws" vibe off of @ltsquigs. By which I mean "completely unkempt but awesome beard".

I bet salted licorice is pretty good. I like licorice and I like salt.

But there's not much else in the way of weekly shows now that TNT is gone. You can't blame someone for giving feedback on a subscriber feature...

I'm doubly fucked because I don't like UPF at all, it's the world's worst 'show and tell' for adults. There maybe one or two good moments now and then but it is wildly inconsistent and extremely dull to me. I say this as a disappointed long, long term fan, I don't mean to moan, It just bums me out.

Thankfully there was quite a bit of good stuff happening at the end of 2013 and I'm hoping they really get back into gear in 2014.

To answer Jeff's question at 11:52, the description of this game on Steam where it is currently being sold as a finished product for €5.99 is;

Air Control is a new gen airplane simulator. It is the first airplane game, where plane compartment is visible.

It allows you to play several roles in different game modes : stewardess, mechanic, pilot and passenger.

There are 3 modes in the game : "Realistic mode", "Killjoy mode" and "Casual mode".

Realistic mode allows you to play more as a pilot than as a stewardess. This mode contains high quality airplane models with compartment just like in real planes.

Killjoy mode allows you to play as a pilot and as a passenger the same time. You can view flight as a passenger from the compartment while you are controlling the airplane.

Casual mode is a "Just for fun" mode. It is silly, made to entertain you. It contains no story and levels are not connected.
