I've read that whole terry goodkind series. It gets weird and bad and is a hamfisted indictment of communism. I enjoyed them I think.

I've had Little Star (right near my place), Paxti's, and Zacharys (in East Bay) and also real Chicago style pizza in Chicago. And I can confirm that all 3 of the SF places @brad mentioned are pretty great.
