10 years ago, I was a short fat kid with a burning passion and acne. That Passion? None other than Star Ocean: The Second Story. That acne? Erysipelas. 1999 was a time when the PS1 was wrapped in a sort of RPG limbo, with both great and terrible (cough, Shadow Madness, cough) being released left and right. Star Ocean the Second Story is an RPG that no real RPG fan should miss. This game succeeds in every way with its great story, memorable charters, great fighting system, and plenty of extras. Despite feeling a little dated with things like random battles and 2-D art and battles, the game still stands out even when compared to the best games todays systems have to offer.The story of the game focuses on Claude C. As I opened the packaging to my newest RPG for, what was at the time my favorite console, my Playstation I could not have guessed how well this new game would actually beat my expectations. I haven't found an RPG that's as fun as this. So many secrets, Has a high replay value. If anyone knows of another JRPG like this let me know!!!!! I play this Game at least once every 2 - 3 years and It still has new surprises. You can switch up your team different ways, Your choice effects the outcome. The battle system is still unrivaled. Great character development and so much more. If you love RPG's you hands down gotta play this one....
