So after 5 + hours backing up my games and another 5 + reinstalling them on my new build almost every game has more than 90% left to download still.  What was in that 100gb file? Happy thoughts?

 How did you backup? Using Steam's backup feature? There really isn't any need to do that. You can just transfer your entire SteamAps folder across. It's a lot quicker, and you won't lose any data.

Go figure.... i wish i had known that.... i just decided to use the feature the app makers made thinking they would of made it work well.... it's steam you know.... i generally trust Steam/Valve.

I've backup tons of stuff through Steam and I've never had a problem.  I usually have a few of the more recent updates to do but never had any problem with it.
