Yeah, both Resident Evil 6 and Revelations were 75% off on Dec 26th. Maybe check back on the last day of the sale if they'll do them again.

From what I understand, it's quite unlikely the discount on Shovel Knight will be often, and I'd highly recommend that game at $10. At $15 it's great. $10 is too good.

In keeping with Steam Sale tradition, I have spent entirely too much money already and there are still a few days of sales left. That doesn't include the trading frenzy I was in for the few weeks leading up to the cross-region trading restrictions by Valve...that was just a filthy buying spree. When this is all over I'm going to go back and take a look at exactly what I bought during this whole thing, but definitely not until the sale is over. It's probably somewhere between 30 and 40 games at this point, maybe more.

Red Faction: Guerrilla on sale is dope. @starfoxa, we need to get back on that game and wreck shop! OSTRICH HAMMERS UNITE!

As it stands, I'm debating between Transistor and Shovel Knight right now. I can only get one, and man...it's a very tough choice. Right now, Transistor seems to be the popular vote that I'm getting.

Picked up Valkyria Chronicles. That game is pretty good. Arkham City and Red Faction Guerrilla. I have played both of them on PS3 and will replay the better looking PC versions sometime in 2015. Kane's Wrath was the only C&C game I never played beside C&C 4 that I choose to never play based on reviews.

The weird thing is that while I check for sales everyday, it is not any of the games I just picked up that I am playing. Skyrim and X-Com enemy within are dominating my play time. C'est la Vie.

Still waiting for some deeper sales on Kentucky Route Zero / The Fall / The Banner Saga. Patrick's and vinny's enthusiasm convinced me to finally try them.

Same deal with Prototype 2, not full price but still 40 bucks for a game that came out in 2012 and got middling reviews is kind of nuts.

I'm surprised Mercenary Kings won, I thought people weren't too hot on it (even though I love it). Don't go into the game expecting it to be Metal Slug, you'll be disappointed. It's more of a 2D Monster Hunter with a very cool gun crafting system.

I got Two Worlds II today. Mainly because I hear that game has crazy physics if you play a mage. It's only 2$ so it wont be a big loss either way.

No Dark Souls 2 DLC season pass sale yet. I kind of wonder if it will happen at all. Now I'm doubting myself.

Another "is it worth it" question, but, is Divinity Original Sin worth the price of entry that Steam are selling it for currently? I enjoyed Mass Effect 2 and Fallout 3, but have not got into a long game since those and would like something to give a go, but I have not played a game like this before (a CRPG, but I am not sure what the C stands for in all honesty, I assume Combat?), so is this an ideal time to give it a whirl or am I best waiting for a better discount in a future sale?

I have always assumed the term is used to encompass Western RPGs like Baldur's Gate or Fallout (examples). It's a specific play style only found on PCs and even then it's a specifc way those RPGs play (usually more stat heavy, and lots of windows and stuff to show you information).

That's the best I can describe it myself.

My plan was to wait till the last day of the sale...

but then I saw Wolfenstein, The Stanley Parable, and Luftrausers for $30

I ended up buying them.

They're also usually based on tabletop rules. Most of the well known ones used DnD (BG, ID, Planescape, NWN) but Fallout used a modified version of the GURPS system.

Anyone think This war of mine will go lower? I doubt it will, assuming it wont, what do you all feel about it, worth for 14.99? I have heard great things so far.

I really enjoyed the spellcrafting in that game. I can understand why other games don't use the TW2 system, but damn if it isn't fun!

I think I am going with Might and Magic because I have a long history with the D&D Gold / Silver Box titles on 386. The turn based grid system actually sounds like a fun nostalgia trip.

Yeah it was like 2 bucks during a GOG sale once and I totally missed it, so I was hoping for Steam to pricematch that during this sale.

This sale has turned out okay for me, COD Advanced Warfare cheap enough I could stand buying it. Divinity I am really wanting to try. This sale has mostly worked with what it had, least by my lights. I would not mind knowing better.

I think the Sherlock Holmes collection will be my last purchase in this sale, told myself I would only spend around £10.

I bought enough that I'm almost at level 6 of the sale badge kind of without trying. Every damn time, Valve! At least I broke 2000 before the sale started so I didn't have to worry about watching my count.

Went to buy Amnesia: A Machine for Peegs; Steam tells me that I own it already. Welp, it was bound to happen some day.

How the hell did Ultimate General: Gettysburg win the community vote over Kentucky Route Zero and Hatoful Boyfriend?

So I guess X: Rebirth never got an additional discount then. I don't think that game seems worth 24.99€, considering how it was when it launched. I would've considered it around 15€ though. Not a whole lot on sale now that interest me, other than maybe the Silent Hunter collection and Fabula Mortis.

By the way, Enemy Front is like 3€ on PSN (PS3) now. That's quite a lot better than the 14.99€ they're charging for it on Steam.
