Just bought Surgeon Simulator from my workstation at the hospital where I'm temping as a medical secretary. Feels completely appropriate. Had it not been for the rules for our computer use I would have been seriously tempted to download it and see what some real surgeons make of it during the lunch break.

Maybe Rogue Legacy will get a better discount than Gunpoint but who knows. I would like to see Far Cry: Blood Dragon back on sale since it's been MIA since day 1 =(

prison architect and rogue legacy are the other two I still want. I try and control myself cause I seem to always have more games than time now.

I just want SSF4AE to go on a daily/flash sale. It was up for a community vote real early on but hasn't made it to anything since then and that bums me out. There are only so many days left!

There a whole lot of games that are not on the front page with huge discounts that are being overlooked. Today, I picked up Lone Survivor and L4D2.

Yeah now that you said it, there are a lot more games at ~75% off. Can't go wrong with DLC Quest for 1,01€. Steam not doing a too good of a job promoting those.

So far I've been good, only Fez and System Shock 2 for $5 total. I don't remember if I bought SR3 during the sale though so it could be as high as $12.50 if that is the case but either way I've really tamed my wallet and desire this year

@nictel: I can confirm that Wizorb, Cthulhu Saves the World, McPixel, and Super Hexagon are all pretty dang good. I have barely heard of any of the others.

Also, the current Steam Sale poll is by far the weirdest one yet. All 3 free-to-play games, so which overpriced bundle do you want the most!?!?!? The only one I might play for a bit would be Marvel Heroes, but is that really the cheapest bundle for them to discount?

Even if it wins the vote, I'm not super interested in spending $42.50 on Marvel Heroes.

42.50 for some characters and costumes in a free to play game, totally worth it.

Yeah, man, it's nuts. Especially with the way the Steam Sale warps my perception of value, I wouldn't pay $42.50 for any one game, especially not a game that is basically free and at most I would only spend $10-$20 on to buy exactly one character I actually like.

@nictel: So after the post about the really cheap games I basically bought all of the $1 and under games I did not yet have.

So are the publisher packs just gone entirely? I've never really bought one since I either really didn't like a lot of the games in the pack or I already owned a bunch of the games and didn't want to pay for a pack that is mostly stuff I already owned.

The only one I ever considered was the THQ Pack that had like all of the Dawn of War stuff and some other interesting THQ oddities, but that's obviously off the table (plus there was that THQ Humble Bundle thing anyway).

Hm, I completely forgot about those until you mentioned it. I had the same problem; there never seemed like a good reason to get them - it always seemed better to buy just the games I wanted.

Although, there still are a bunch of bundles lying around on Steam - they just don't really publicise them. For example.

So, Mount & Blade Warband is on sale and I don't know if I should get it. I loved the original, but what are the differences besides better graphics and multiplayer? Can anyone help me out, because I don't want to spend 5 euros just on a graphics mod and multiplayer.

@bisonhero: The publisher packs are still there with a discount, there just not on the front page like they have been for previous sales. You have to do some hunting to find them.

I thought Bastion was up there, and regardless I voted for Van Helsing too.

Off topic - but how did you post that table? Did you just manually enter every cell? I tried positing a table and couldn't find a way to copy and paste data into the table. And I am WAY too lazy to fill in every cell.

Looks like that map in the background of the page is proving to be accurate, since tomorrow's card displays Skyrim. So, that should mean that the next sale after that should feature Prison Architect.
