@suikoden352: The guy's over at Joystiq loved the Ben there Dan that games but I haven't plucked up the courage to buy another adventure game that I'll get frustrated with.
Got steam on Saturday along with my new laptop, spent like £55 on Mass Effect 2, Left 4 Dead 2, World of Goo, Football Manager 2010, Audiosurf, Half Life 2 and Portal. Is the Mass Effect 2 DLC on PC and if so how much is it? Is it free? Could use some people to play LFD2 with as well, Steam name is: hotsaucecommittee

pretty sure i bought that one 3 times, bought it when it first came out on xbox, lost it, bought it again as a downloadable on my 360 and then bought it again on steam in the hopes i could get at some of those voice clips and make them into ringtones, but no-go, they're in some weird compressed format that i dont' know how to open =(
I bought Audiosurf, Cryostasis, Dark Void Zero, Ghost Master, Ghostbusters, Indigo Prophecy, Mirror's Edge, The Witcher, and Zeno Clash. So far I've only finished Mirror's Edge, which was very disappointing, and Ghostbusters, which was an absolute blast even though the framerate was all over the place and the mouse controls were so screwed up I needed to use a gamepad.
The only sale I regret not picking up is Left 4 Dead 2. I love the original, but by that point of the sale, my budget for games was gone. Eh, I'll get you next time, you endless horde of zombie bastards.
Unfortunately, the Steam sale occurred shortly after I bought a new computer, so I was too broke to spend more money on games. I did manage to pick up a few games, however, but not half as much as I would've liked: Trine, Cryostasis, and the Serious Sam HD pack.

I got the original Half Life, its two expansions, and Team Fortress Classic for ten bucks, which isn't much of a deal but I decided that I should have it considering most people say Half Life's one of the greatest games of all time. Also, I knew my computer would run a ten year old game, and I wasn't sure about anything else.
