Usually refers to the end of the world.
A military organization who see themselves as the technological saviors of The Wasteland. They are the descendants of the scientists and soldiers who managed to take refuge during the Great War, the conflict that caused the world to descend into an apocalyptic wasteland.
In the inFamous universe, a Conduit is someone with superhuman abilities or has the ability to develop them.
Any game that represents a society noticeably worse or less desirable compared to those in the present. This can relate to kinds of political and economic organisation, excessive human suffering, social problems caused by technology, or as a result of an apocalyptic event.
Experience Points are part of a character advancement system commonly found in RPGs. These points are generally gained by defeating an enemy or completing a task.
When will those crazy scientists learn? Be it killer robots, invasions from outer space, sentient computers or mutations; they always seem to have the habit of leaving a big mess behind for you to clean up.
A biological material responsible for creating mutated creatures such as the Super Mutants in the Fallout universe.
Henchmen are the loyal grunts caught in between the player and the main antagonist. Without them every game would be nothing more than a boss battle.
Whether a character never ages or is invincible, immortality represents the inability to die. Sometimes this is a blessing, sometimes it is a curse. Either way it usually makes for an interesting game mechanic.
Kidnapping is often used in videogames as a motivation for the protagonist to venture into unknown worlds and fight seemingly hopeless battles.
Murder is the act of ending the life of another living thing against its will without the sanction of a higher governmental authority, such as the casualties that result from acts of war. It is generally intentional, at least in a legal meaning, but not necessarily.
Some substance, organic or other wise that alters perfectly normal creatures into something else. Often times the agent in question is some form of virus or parasite.
Genetically evolved humans, animals or aliens.
Mutated dogs often found accompanying Super Mutants in the Fallout franchise.
Nightkin are advanced Super Mutants that are smarter and stronger than their cousins. They appear in the Fallout series.
Radioactive particles in the air released by a nuclear explosion.
The complete or near-annihilation of life on the planet Earth by the means of nuclear weaponry.
Nuclear war is a conflict in which nuclear weapons are used.
Orcs/Orks/Orques are a fictional race of tough humanlike creatures, often with green or black skin, originally coming from the Saxon word for the Normans during the invasion, meaning demon or foreigner.
A physics system used to procedurally generate body movement similar to rag dolls.
Strength beyond normal human bounds, i.e. lifting cars, bending metals, shattering a street with one's fist.
Whether with a button press or menu, taunts destroy friendships and can even make the computer go crazy.
War is a series of organized conflicts carried on by force of arms between two or more nations or groups. Whether it never changes or has already changed is up for debate.
