This E3 Nintendo is hosting a tournament to showcase Smash 4. Many competitive players will be there which is huge as Nintendo is the past has never been one to support their games like this. The rules are super lax and it should be fun to watch for anyone who wants to see the game.

@corruptedevil: I assume Keighly is only there because people who care about E3 are bound to know of him. Being the host I don't see him playing much of a role anyway.
I am disappointed we won't be seeing Charizard at this thing. Everything else seems like fun.

They have him there so that he won't be talking shit on Nintendo like he was last year. Now he will be hyping up his presence there instead.
@darthorange: I am curious the reasoning for why some characters were chosen over others. Same with players, curious why each play was picked. I really like their list though.

If it's like most fighting games, those are the characters that are closest to "finished".
@starvinggamer: That makes a lot of sense.
So long as it isn't a fucking Fox-a-thon.
Each character can only be used once and the players will pick their character in a order decided by a draw. Even were that not the case only 3 of the players are Fox mains.
It's that guy from Survivor!
I'm not a super serious Smash Bros. player or nothin', but I can't imagine playing with anything other than a Gamecube controller, so I'm happy.

fucking fox-a-thons is a totally different convention.
it is about to start. Watch here

What about a foxing fuck-a-thon?
I thought that was a lot of fun. The celebrity match was surprisingly good. Seemed like a perfect opportunity to reveal a new character, but still pretty cool.

I was really into the idea of having a "challenger approaching" screen at the end of everything, and the winner of the tournament would have to fight and defeat a newly revealed character (newcomer or otherwise).

Pac-Man just got announced! That would have been a way better way to reveal that.
