Can you play Super Turbo? SHORYUKEN! 0

"Easiest with Dee Jay: crossup j.MK, c.LP, c.LP, Machine Gun Upper (charge d, u + mash punches)"That's what someone told me when I asked how to perform a 7-hit combo on a forum. I guess I should have known better? If that makes as much sense to you as it did to me back then, which is to say none at all, then read on, because this review is for you! Before playing SSF2THDR (its full name is far too long to spell out, so I'll just call it HD Remix from now on), pretty much all I could do was throw ...

    You're the best around! 0

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix (hereafter referred to as HDR) is Capcom's revisiting of one of the most balanced, most played, and most long lasting fighting games ever created. Fourteen years of tournament play and 4 previous arcade iterations have lead up to this latest version of the original SF2. That's a lot of testing, balancing, and fireballs. Capcom has succeeded in their goal to make every match up in the game more fair, more interesting, and more likely to be won or lost on the ...

A classic has never looked better. 0

I must admit... I always sucked at Street Fighter.  I've played these games since SF2 at the arcades and those that came out for the SNES.  Even though I've never been good at them, it still was a worthwhile for a handfull of friends to meet up in an arcade, spend an afternoon or party at a friends house, or even help waste the half hour or so at the supermarket while mom was shopping.  I've never owned the game on the SNES nor had too much money to spend at the arcade to master any moves, or ev...

The definitive fighter by the fans, for the fans... 0

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix has been through a lot since its announcement in the beginning of last year. You can tell that it is Capcom's biggest and most ambitious downloadable game to date considering how popular the original Super Turbo is for fourteen years. From the new art courtesy of Udon Comics, the folks that also do the art for the Street Fighter comic books, and the new rebalanced gameplay that was consulted by professional players, this ain't your ordinary downloadable gam...

An oldie, but a goodie... 0

For anyone over the age of 25 this is really nothing new... This is essentially another version of a game which is over 20 years old. Now you might be thinking at this point - why on earth have Capcom resurrected this? Surely there's been some improvement in the fighting genre over the past two decades!? Well, no, not definately. The fact is there is only a limited amount of complexity you want in a fighting game, and possibly only a certain 'type' of complexity too. The main compet...

A Binge Gamer Review of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix 0

By Perry Piekarski • December 10, 2008 [Edit] As the fifth remake of a title that set bar for just about every game in the fighting genre since, one can’t help but worry whether Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (insert long title joke here) revives the series for one final bout or keeps it on life-support while gamers stand in tears wondering what will become of their dying friend. Just kidding.  The game is spectacular and is definitely one of the best 2D fighters to hit consoles...

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - Review 0

In my book if you want to be called a gamer then you've already played some iteration of Street Fighter II, as well as the original Mario Brothers, Pong and have completed your pilgrimage to find a working pinball machine (sorry, but those are the rules). Anyway for those who aren't versed in the Street Fighter series then it's as simple as can be; It's a 2d fighter with 3 punches, 3 kicks and a wide variety of stereotypes to kick and punch in the face. This new HD remix is based off of the SSF...

Street Fighter gets more adjectives in its title 0

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix : The latest update to Street Fighter 2. That’s right, it’s 2008 and there’s yet ANOTHER re-release of Street Fighter 2. Story : Well, I guess Street Fighter 2 set the standard back in its’ heyday, of fighting games having incredibly cheesy storylines. The core of the story is that there’s an evil superpowered dictator and to get to him, you’re going to have to beat up an assortment of colourful characters that are going to come across as completely bizarre ...

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Review 0

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for the XBOX Live Arcade is exactly what it sounds like. Its a Remix (Remake) of Super Street Fighter II Turbo in HD. I believe you can turn off the HD models for the characters, but I wouldn't recommend it. This is another game in the very successful franchise with some added twists. The graphics look great. You're going to see levels and characters redone to their HD equivalent. I don't really remember seeing that much movement and action in the background...

    OH YU KiN 0

Street Fighter 2  has come a long way from me playing it on the Arcades at some shitty supermarket around 92. This is now the HD Remix with re drawn and added gamplay. Bottom line the game is good, the online is where it should be the animations are amazing. The characters look good and feel just rightas they should. Now download it now !...
