Well I was reading the latest PC Gamer magazine, their review for Dark Athena stated that it used SecuRom 3 install limit, non-revocable. So any news of this going up on steam? Or will I have to buy the console version?

I'd say buy the console version because Starbreeze is a console developer.

I've not heard about it coming out on Steam, wouldn't object if it did though. Seriously we're going back to SecuRom 3 install limits again?

I'll probably still buy this for the PC. Watched Chronicles of Riddick the other night in preparation for the game lol.

Even if the game's released on Steam, they may not remove the SecureROM DRM. There are a number of games in the Steam store with third-party DRM in them.

So this game is confirmed to have SecuRom DRM? Could anyone link an article confirming this, because I think I might have to cancel my pre-order on Amazon if that's the case.

It was in the newest PC Gamer magazine review, the PC version has non-revocable SecuRom DRM, 3 install limit. Search for scans or something to see if yourself.

And yet all it takes is downloading a 4 MB cracked .exe to get rid of that.

You know that's not the point. I, for one, will be cancelling my order with Amazon.co.uk, which kind of sucks considering how the game was shaping up.

Not getting till it hits Steam or Impulse here. And dunno if the developer is console developer or something, the first Riddick worked, looked and controlled fine on PC.

I think you missed my point. I wasn't saying to you to stop complaining since you can crack it. I was saying they should stop trying to make DRM the way they are since it takes so little to get rid of it.
