    Overview

    A triad is an organized crime group originating from China. While there are triad groups worldwide, there are established triads originating in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau. The most notable real world triads are the Sun Yee On, Wo Shing Wo and the 14K.

    Usage in Games

    Triads have been featured in many games, they often in appear in games participating in such crimes as human trafficking, drug smuggling and extortion. The most notable game appearances of triads include Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Sleeping Dogs.
