Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Announced
I'd like to see some backstory on Drake this time around. Who is he? How did he become the swashbucking adventurer we know today? How does he fund these adventures? The back of his gun holster has the acronym 'NDI' which I have always taken to be 'Nathan Drake Industries'. Does he return from these adventures and run his multi national corporation? Is his dress shirt half-tucked?
It's that Naughty Dog has had a long and profitable relationship with Sony, so they get more information from Sony about how to work with the PS3's capabilities.
" So now we're officially following the original Indiana Jones arc? First fighting Nazis, then fighting in mid-Asian mountains, and lastly in the desert? And the third film is partly based on the relationship with "his father figure?" SWEET. This game is gonna be my favorite, I figure. Deserts look freaking gorgeous in games. So do jungles, but the asian temples are getting old; too many games use them. "Aliens in Uncharted 4 CONFIRMED.
Color me excited. I love uncharted for its bravery. Naughty Dog is willing to approach character development and storytelling with more respect and diligence than most any developer. The story made Among Thieves a joy to blast my way through, even if it had some missteps. I love playing games made by passionate people working for the love rather than the paycheck.
The Arabian angle is really interesting. Uncharted is set in the present day, if not a little after, so the politics of the region seem unavoidable. Naughty Dog deftly maneuvered their way through Katmandu and Tibet in UC2, the latter of which was an astounding and heart-wrenching depiction of a civilization not many writers are willing to include. So, I have faith in them to manage a fun yet respectful portrayal.
What I want is not necessarily sand physics and beauty, though I will get those, but to know who Nathan Drake is, how he deals with his violent abilities with such aplomb, and why he lives the life he lives. Even just this teaser starts to approach those questions, and that's really refreshing. Bring it on, Naughty Dog.

I've never had the chance to play any of the Uncharted, and I feel like I'm really missing out. It seems like just the type of game I would love
Ok guys, no more supernatural stuff this time. I know what you were trying to go for, but I didn't exactly drop my jaw the first two times. And how about more puzzles and a completely new set of guns this time? I just played Uncharted 1 and 2 back to back and I'm surprised how little they added in your firearm repertoire.
Naughty Dog are known for pushing Sony's hardware to the limits and they have a very strong relationship with them. I'd say they're the company favourite.
You say you bought Uncharted 2 at launch, so I'd like to ask if you actually played it or if it merely sits snugly on your shelf, still in the plastic wrapper? If you did play it, then why are you even making claims like:
There is not a snowball's chance in hell the PS3 can pump out graphics like this
" @borgmaster said:Actually I just noticed how closely they are following the same locations from the Jak and Daxter series. Game one took place in a jungle, game two had a large portion of a city to explore, game three is the desert. This only further confirms that the next official Uncharted title will be a kart racer." @Little_Socrates said:Im afraid this is the only way to go and not only because of Indiana Jones...Uncharted Space! So he's going to be looking for the Iram of the Pillars? Never heard of it but really interested in seeing the trailer.

All the news of the screwed up Uncharted movie has had me down lately. Nathan is the new Indiana for dogs sake; this helps me put that aside a little.
Can't wait! Uncharted 2 was a great game and I had a lot of fun playing it so I have faith that Naughty Dog will continue to make this series great with the third installment. I hope it doesn't get pushed back to 2012 as too many games that are suppose to be released in Q4 always do (thanks partly to CoD).
I'm interested to see what they do with the 3D aspect. If anyone is gonna convert me, it'll probably be Naughty Dog.
Knowing the amazing people at Naughty Dog this game will be nothing less than perfect!! I can't wait!
