Girders are the life blood of most modern architecture. They can be jumped on, climbed up, thrown, or bent by some kind of bending robot.
A laser is a focused beam of light, invisible through the air without some other medium (such as smoke) to illuminate it. Lasers are often used in video games as part of a targeting system, or as an offensive weapon in their own right.

A smooth plate that, when interacted with, will trigger a mechanism of some sort. It could be the unlocking of a door, or a dastardly trap.

Rocks are the hard objects found randomly scattered across the ground all over the Earth's surface. They're not good for much more than smashing stuff or being made into other things. Handily crushes Scissors but cannot defeat the mighty Paper.
Usually a Button, lever, or computerized scanner used to open, close, power on, turn on, or unlock something. Found common in most games that involve puzzle solving as well as shooters.
A television set is a device used to view moving images usually accompanied by sound. They often appear in video games and scenery but sometimes have more practical applications.
A device used to attract another object. A common element in science fiction.
A tree is a perennial woody plant. Trees are often used in games as a natural wall, providing a barrier as well as cover. Many games also use them to make their environments looks more natural and attractive.
These are usually turned by the player in most cases to stop steam seeping out of a pipe in-order to progress through the level.

Even though water in games tends to bring about death, we all still hold it near and dear to us. After all, the human body is comprised mostly of it.
A handy melee weapon that doubles as a tool for repairing things. This weapon has played a key role when it comes to smashing things for many protagonists.
