Vanessa's parents were killed as a child by the evil and mysterious J6 Corporation. Shortly thereafter, J6 kidnapped the young Vanessa and started training her to become an assassin for them. A special forces man named Lewis infiltrated the corporation for some reason and rescued Vanessa, training her in combat away from them, but J6 simply went and killed him later. Vanessa ended up becoming a bodyguard, and decided to enter the fourth World Fighting Tournament (debuted in VF4) in order to protect Sarah from J6's influence.
Vanessa uses two styles: Offensive and Defensive, each with mostly different moves available. She combines single, powerful strikes with jiu-jutsu and chokeholds to pummel her opponents into submission.
