Is it just me, or does the incredibly western, military voice-over work clash with the style of the game?
 
Other than that, though this game looks awesome. The demo's fun.

Voice acting is meh.

As long as there's no annoying temperature countdown.  I hated that in the first one.  Just let me shoot shit and take my time.

I started this thinking it was going to be a trailer for Little Big Planet 2 instead of Lost Planet 2, for some reason.  It was really weird at first -- kind of like when you pick up a beverage that someone poured for you without looking, and you thought it was going to be one thing, and it turned out to be something entirely different like milk instead of orange juice.  For a brief moment, it just tastes like this weird milky juicy thing and you can't figure out what it is before reality sets in.

Pirates are the new hotness.

The old game had the most stylish cut scenes and the clunky-est gameplay. 
 
I expect the same from this.

Game actually reminded me a lot of Dune with the desert train stuff and the giant worm.

I really liked the PS3 demo.  Moving around is a bit cumbersome, but it matches the fact that you have a crap-ton of gear on.  But I love how exaggerated everything is.  Guns are huge, monsters are even bigger.  Just grappling onto a behemoth and riding it's back while you pile bullets into it is an experience unique to Lost Planet.

Man the monster boss battles have always been epic in these games.

all im gana say is that dam demo is sweeeeeeeet! in single player that is, as when you play online co-op frame rate drops why down...

Capcom are the masters of giant enemies.

Wow this looks bad ass, like completely bad ass. Definitely a game I'm going to look into. Game Fly and buy. Oh yeahh.

I'm ready for the new and possibly slightly improved Lost Planet. Bring it!

I didn't care too much for the first Lost Planet. It wasn't a bad game, but it wasn't good either.
You could clearly see where it needed to be improved on.
 
I'm gonna stay very optimistic of this game for now

that armor design is pretty terrible. and the weapons are way too generic compared to the armor

The co-op demo for this game where you fight that giant iguana was horrible, i couldn't believe they were happy releasing a demo of that quality. How can they even begin to expect to do well with that caliber of game after the likes of gears of war and modern warfare.
 
ps. that's definately the voice actor who did Akihiko Sanada from Persona 3 whoever mentioned it earlier.

it was awesome until that guys lame ass monologue. it was suppose to be in and out easy peasy. seriously, heard that in a million stories now. 

Never played the first game, bt after playing the demo this is totally on my radar now.
 
I thought it played well, and looked absolutely amazing technically. Controls were kinda odd, but I got over it. When does this get released in the US?

Jeez. Fucking dire, post-Iraq plots in all these games is the reason I only play XBLA/PSN titles and sports games nowadays. If a producer sprung a little extra cash to pay a decent writer it would transform these games completely.
