This whole series has been blending together into general crap ever since RA2 for me.

I might pick this up if there's a Steam sale for this game. But it doesn't catch me as a superb RTS anymore.
Love the changes they made to the gameplay - but it ends there. Units + Design are all so corny and uninspired.

I really don't like what they're doing to C&C. Everything about this from the FMV transmissions to the explosions looks much cheaper than C&C3 and RA3. And of course, the gameplay is so different that they shouldn't even be calling it C&C anymore.

The constant cutting in mid-action and references to otherwise-unexplained game mechanics makes this video a disjointed mess that's unlikely to garner any attention from those who aren't already fans of the series.

Unit-cap in C&C? That means they lowered the crazyness in the game. Kinda turnoff actually.

After RA2, the series went downhill. Wont even pay attention the games from now on..

What's with the constant cutting ahead? I had no idea what was going on in this video. If they're gonna edit down what's probably a 20-25 min mission into a 5 min video they might as well show nothing at all.

I don't understand how they manage to keep getting this so wrong.  Even the basics.

I'm really sad for C&C now.
With the announcement and further showing of the completely changed game mechanics they have pretty much completely alienated a large portion of their fans. One only has to look at the state of the official forums.
After EA announcement that they will be disbanding the team after C&C4 ships people have completely lost faith. What do you think post release support and patching of this game is going to look like?
They tried to push "new" and "innovative" RTS design into a classic game. Sadly these so called innovations have for most part have already been done better or worse in other titles.
About the only remaining reason to buy this game as a fan of the franchise is to see the ending of the Kane storyline, that's it.

The last good game was RA2. Tiberium Wars was utter tripe. I'll read the story on wikipedia and watch the cinematics on youtube, because I do want some closure when it comes to the story.

what happened to base building?

another childhood game murdered by crappy ideas,  i love the end of the video though when the guy says this is just one of the exciting missions of the game rofl, it was so freakin boring made me deffinantly not want to pick this game up

 Worst walkthrough ever.  what the hell is happening.  Guy sucks at commentating about his game.  Hate it when the video skips ahead to a further point.

I liked RA3... for the short while I played it.  We (my freinds and I) stopped playing the moment we found another RTS.
 
CnC3 we stopped playing and went back to RA2...  so thats says what we thought of that bull.
 
This looks... terrible.  Nothing about this looks remotly interesting...   
 If we want a good small scale war where we are mobile we will play Dawn of War 2...

So I just wanted to make sure that this was not a messup by GB crew and went over to the official site to double check the vid. Indeed it is exactly the same length on the official site...
Who the fuck cuts a video like that!? Was this a professional person who gets paid money? The person talking gets cut off in half the explanations!
 
Oh and the "Buy it, you'll like it." at the end is just priceless. How low of an expectation do you have to have as a developer of a game to say something like this in your own promotional material? 10/10 for gigles.

I'm not a big fan of C&C but this looks like something I could get into.

"Many exciting missions in C&C4" - if that's one of their 'exciting' missions then I think we should be prescribing this to humans instead of diazepam. There was literally nothing in that video that made me go "hey, cool" or "I should pick up this game!"

I'll hold my judgement. The idea of a C&C game without base building is exciting, and the concept of MCVs actually being mobile even more so. It looked pretty crappy in this video, but the premise could be awesome if they execute a bit more on the visuals by the time the game is released.

Well cudos for them moving away from the rush spamming that seemed to be at the core of C&C3. I played about 3 missions before becoming bored out of my mind. I put it away and haven't touched it since. With so many games doing the RTS thing on just a more epic scale, C&C doesn't really cut it for me anymore. If the missions are varied enough, I might consider buying it. I don't have faith in anything coming out of EA like what Relic and Stardock are able to do.

Aside from not playing C&C, this is a preview format I've seen before and never liked.  If you want to play through a level for me, or a portion of a level, that's fine by me.  But playing through the level and skipping around randomly through time with no sense of how much has passed and skipping around video clips so that I have no idea what's going on or why?  That serves no purpose.

The editing of this video is schizophrenic.

 Nice try copying Blizzards' PR, but as mentioned the mechanics and units are way too convoluted to explain in such detail in a small snippet such as this. Hence the video is absolutely useless unless it was meant to show how boring the next CnC will be. I did enjoy Generals, even though it was quite a departure in many ways, but this doesen't interest me in the slightest. Gimme SC 2 already!
 
Oh and btw thanks EA for ruining another franchise. If the Battlefund Heroes fiasco isn't resolved, I see them circling the drain pretty soon and I hope the good stuff will get picked up by competent publishers & studios. Back to the roots ppl!

Obviously I'll be getting this now. He told me to and on top of that, I'll like it. I like to like things.

How come nobody ever talks about the old ones? Like, pre-Red Alert 2 cartoonish bullshit. The originals are gritty and badass. They should go back to that style.
