This show was great, Dan and Jason are perfect for GB. That SF2 match was fucking real, same with the smash ball match. And I think Brad needs to take Dan under his wing and teach him the wonders of the dota life.

Man I keep waiting for that Diet Pepsi to spill on the Retron 5.

Fantastic show. Would really like to see @brad teach @danryckert some basic Dota 101 on camera. Would be a wonderfully awkward and strange experience. And who knows, maybe Dan will grow to like it... but I doubt it.

I second this. Call it the Dota 2 Endurance Run, and we see how much Dan can endure.

Even if they don't play mobas often I feel more journalists should at least have a better knowledge than "I played one match and quit" with how massive they are today. Not even a big fan personally, I just think to remain credible it's important because like them or not it's the most popular gaming genre today worldwide.

Also I think the best easy way to describe F1 is "the fastest way to get around a road course there is"

Before now I only knew Dan from the Powerbomcast and now it is kinda weird to hear him talking into a good mic.

I must have played Whomp 'Em more than any other game during my childhood. Now I know why I get these strange urges.

But you hated the "Brad is leaving", so that's not saying much. Or am I explaining your joke right now, if so, I'm sorry.

I think over time I started to appreciate Brad is leaving for it's simplicity and longevity.

Dan clearly knows about video games, but boy, he's raw green on the traditions of Giant Bomb. That's probably to be expected. Still, it brings home how much has fundamentally changed on the site the last year or two, and that's a bittersweet feeling for me.

This Dan fellow is quite the jolly chap! I like him!

In other news, I feel like Brad looks different somehow... meh, more dota is cool with me.

This is the first time I've ever seen Jason on camera. He looks like if you merged Adam Boyes and Greg Miller into one person.

This reminds me of years ago when I got dragged into a raid in WoW when my friends came over.

The anima was Sekura Z. The main character has amnesia and wants to find his dad and finds a magic talking flying squirrel who grants him powers to transform into a magic being. There are three other magic beings with flying animals too. They're all girls. One is akward and shy with short hair who has small boobs. A motherly one. And one with really long hair who has huge boobs who's very slutty. She makes the other two girls blush a lot and wants to feel them up. They also all love the main character. Also, their talking flying magic animals turn into a robot. It also turns out his dad hated him because his mother died giving birth to him and is trying to find a way to bring her back with dark magic which will destroy the world. But it turns out his dad was God. You have to really pay attention to the background where you can see all the spaghetti sticks are laid out like crosses. I'm not sure why Giant Bomb's Senior Anime Editor Brad Shoemaker didn't speak up. I guess he was really upset about the DOTA match.

Also, Ninja Scroll was the shit. There's one scene in it that makes me hesitant to recommend it to people who haven't seen anime. You have all this crazy, bad ass over the top action, and this one scene is -really- out of place.

Great show guys. Loved the intense Street Fighter battle with Jeff and Jason.

When Dan is losing at Mortal Kombat he sounds like he's failing at sex. I like him, he's funny.

I literally laughed out loud when Dan asked if Brad's girlfriend thinks he's an adequate lover, and he started shaking his head before they could even show that clip of him shaking his head.

I really like how Dan gets really intense when playing, cursing and moving around, as opposed to Jeff's also intense quietness.

Also are Retron 5s generally that unreliable or is it just Jeff's? I was thinking of gifting one to a friend, but now I don't know.

And as much as I personally don't like DOTA I wouldn't mind a few videos of Brad teaching Dan some things.
