Fair enough. I'm sure Runic did a great job with the port but I still feel like this is a game that requires a keyboard to be fully enjoyed.

@ds8k:   Actually - He is quite correct.  Shall we go get the numbers of people whom play these types of games on consoles vs people who play similarly on PC's?

 I'm 99% sure Torchlight won't be coming to PSN, no matter how well it'll sell on XBLA. "Why?", one might ask. Well, simply, because Microsoft Game Studios is the publisher of the console release, same thing as with Mass Effect 1, the second and third Mass Effect are published for all the platforms by EA. And before anyone starts to trash Microsoft, it goes other way around also: if Sony is the publisher of the console version of some game, it won't be available on 360, simple as that (actually, the same thing with Nintendo also). That's, unfortunately, the way console platform holders usually act. :( Ofcourse there might be some REALLY slim chance, but...

@Tesla: Of course it doesn't have co-op. It is a port of the PC game. If it had co-op then Torchlight 2 would seem less attractive.

@sixpin: Right, and since that is the case I will not be purchasing the game.  Cause and effect. 
 
It's 2011, no excuse to not have co-op.  It makes it real easy to let this game fall by the wayside and wait for Diablo 3.

Yeah that is the way the cookie crumbles with business. 
I did not know MS were publishing it, when I  posted that comment  , thanks for the info.  
So as you say we will not be seeing it on the PS3 then, that is a shame, as  it is a really great game, that should be made available to as many peeps as possible. 
Which leaves TELLTALE with no excuse for not putting SAM and MAX season 1, 2 onto PS3, but more so, not putting season 3 on 360, after the 1st 2 seasons showed up there

@Tesla: That's your  prerogative. More power to you, I was just pointing out why a port of a game from 2010 didn't have co-op. Matters more to some than others. If you are waiting on Diablo 3 though, you are in for a wait. I own the PC version, but I'll be playing it again on 360.

@sixpin: Yeah I guess I am still on the fence.  I really want to try Torchlight.  The thing is, I have 2 brothers that live on the other side of the country, so the lack of co-op is rather heartbreaking because that would have been perfect. 
 
I still might get the game though, who knows.  Especially at 800 points.  I'm not trying to bash the game or anything, it's just oh so close to being an instant buy, and that one missing feature really kills me.

This will be a day one buy for me. I'm actually glad to see it on XBLA. It'll be the first XBLA title I've bought in a long time that I haven't regretted.

The graphical style (still) sucks, won't buy. To cartoony. I want dirty, grity and horrifying environments, which can't be done in this style.

@Tesla: Yeah, it is a bummer not having co-op. At least Runic listened to fans and back-burnered their MMO to work on a multiplayer Torchlight 2. If you are a fan of the genre though, I can't recommend it strongly enough. It is my favorite since Diablo 2 even without the benefit of co-op partners.

You know, I never had much interest in the PC game, since it was single-player and just kind of a standard take on the Diablo formula, but for some reason the idea of playing it on my xbox is very appealing. Maybe it's just the controller... funny how that works sometimes...

Already have this game for the PC so it's a shame that they didn't add co-op in the XBLA version.  Guess we'll just have to wait for Torchlight 2!
