I Don't Remember Deep Down Looking Like This

So the game that made me shit my pants with excitement is probably going to be bullshit? Great!

It's the worst kind of teaser, in my opinion... the kind that doesn't show enough of anything for me to formulate an opinion; they basically showed nothing.

I really don't know what this game is. The first trailer ended with helicopter sounds and this one is, well, I don't even know how to describe this clusterfuck. Just show us what your damn game is Capcom!

Man those graphics reminds me of doom 3 back in the day. That trailer took it from being my most anticipated game, to not being interested at all. Killzone 2 all over again. I thought we were passed that.

So deep down is exclusive to ps4?

Wow, not even close to that tech demo they showed, I mean, not even remotely. From the brief snippets you see, it graphically looks quite achievable on current consoles. One of the monsters even looks like it was taken from Dead Space.

Hey... Um, Capcom? Please don't waste your time making useless, uninformative, pointlessly brief 'trailers'. You've succeeded in making everyone highly skeptical about Deep Down, and achieved absolutely nothing else aside that. I swear, the industry is absolutely clueless sometimes (or at least Capcom's marketing & advertising department is).

I'm absolutely shocked that the "demo" we saw on the Sony stage isn't accurate. We've never seen that happen before, have we?

If this is a strictly online game I'll pass. I really hope that next gen isn't just a massive mmo-fest. Seriously I could not care less about that kind of fucking game and I will staunchly refuse to purchase such products 100% of the time.

I'm probably the only who is now more intrigued by this title than the tech demo shown before. While the tech demo just a pretty clip showcasing Capcom's new engine, and the usual fantasy dragons/knights deal, this trailer seems completely different. There are also clues scattered about all over. Though many people seem disappointed by the trailer, it certainly is doing what Capcom wanted: have people talk about it.

Deep Down is a Deadly Premonition sequel, confirmed.

This trailer and the original showing has me convinced there is something more to this game that we aren't able to see the bigger picture of just yet. That, or CapCom is just doing a poor job of conveying the game.

And then we all remembered that Killzone 2 "gameplay" trailer so many moons ago, and let out a collective sigh.

Hi, I'm the other person on Giant Bomb who sees that title and thinks of that song.

yeah... reading the comments here I can see people aren't too impressed by this teaser. I wasn't either when I saw it earlier today. Part of the reason behind that is they don't actually show anything. :). A couple frames here and there and that is about it. Hard to have an impact like the demo they showed in February. I think that's something publishers need to figure out; you can get away with a teaser like this for a sequel to a huge game everyone knows. It doesn't work for an unknown like this. There is no fan base or any preconception of what it is so no one is going to care until you show something they can grasp on to.

I don't doubt the demo they showed in Feb. is achievable on the PS4: after all, the environments were very small in scope. In a cave environment I don't doubt you could focus on a lot of detail and effects. Still, the glimpses we get here aren't that, so not sure what's up.

In the end, I'm not disengaged from this game at this time. I'm still excited for it- its next gen, from Capcom, and a new IP. And, from what little can be gathered, it at least appears to be my kind of game. So, lets see some gameplay hopefully sooner rather than later and we'll find out if its hot or not.

Well that was useless and shit.

Getting a huge Amnesia-vibe from this (old rustic setting, insane mumbling, grotesque monster), which is not what I expected after what they showed at the PS4-reveal.

I just remembered that I didn't actually like Dragon's Dogma, so this game has to be pretty great to warrant a purchase.

Concept art, some bad logos and a "hey, we're a Japanese company, so here's some bad English voice acting!" disclaimer would've been better than this trailer.
