These guide-type videos feel weird to me because they feel less immersive with all this explanation. Of course it's not nearly as odd as that video for Red Dead Redemption. At least they got Claudia Black to narrate it in a medieval manner.

With the game's interesting mix of Elder's Scroll style overworld with a more God of War style combat system this game is starting to look like Fable done right.

And I say that as someone who loves the Fable series.

The fiction of the world looks like a blatant rip off of Wow terribly generic as all fuck, but the RPG parts look great and that they will scratch the itch I have had for years since they stopped making good RPGs. The warrior combat looks boring and repetitive, but I seen a rouge gameplay video a while back that makes that class look like fun, so I will probably roll with that. Now stop showing the console shit and show some dam PC footage!

Whatever, the combat looks good and they keep talking it up. And in every one of these videos they show different crazy loot and weird abilities.

My hype meter is ever rising for Kingdoms of Amalur : Reckoning. I want this to be good. So very much. The more I see and hear, the more I believe it will be.

This game can be summarized with three words: Fable done right.

This looks like a Fables game I'd actually enjoy playing.

How is the pitching in the game? Can I train up for a split fingered fastball?

If you go into Fable expecting a serious fantasy adventure (like this, KOA) your playing the wrong game. And neather is right or wrong since they are two different types of games.

Thats weird that they would put out a trailer with a lady just saying "Fantasy Cliche" over and over again.

@PJ: I don't really think it's an issue of similiarity in content so much as it is a similiarity in PROMISED content: Molyneux promised big decisions that mattered, slick combat that surpassed other RPG's, the ability to be the Hero you want to be, etc. He failed across the board. While Fable 2 was undoubtedly the best, he tried to evolve it, make it better, which it certainly could have been. However, he tried to make it better in all the wrong ways. Kingdoms of Amalur looks like it's going to deliver on all the things he promised but couldn't pull off: Excellent, slick, combat, deep RPG upgrade system. Hell, the whole premise of the game is: Your character can decide who they are, which is pretty much what Molyneux aspired to. Sorry for the rant, by the way.

Claudia Black can sell me anything. Also nice use of Fae Courts and the Tuatha De Danann. Even awesomer that Morrigan's voice was speaking about it.

Not everyone found Fable 2 to be as good as some others did. Fable 3 seems to make Fable 2 players feel like how Fable 1 players felt with Fable 2. The series has always been on a downward slope. But let's talk about this really boss looking game not about the Prince of Lies.

I've been excited for this game since they mentioned the power house behind it, the only thing holding this game back is the facial expressions, seriously. This game has some of the best voice acting I've seen in an RPG(not counting mass effect), but the facial animation is horrid.

so Guilds ? never in my life of playing single player rpgs have i wanted to play all the classes,but this game looks far better then when it did at E3.
